I really like this kid's game and if we sign only one guard for '12, I hope it's him.

Need a scoring point or combo. Fits the bill.

How's his defense? I know the knock on him is that he's a power guard, not a speed guard necessarily. My concern is whether he has the speed to be a good defender on the perimeter. We've been killed a lot because of bad perimeter defense.

from looking at recent footage, it seems as if he's shed a few lbs., which can only help his quicks, but not effect his strength. The swag is there and I like that.

according to coast to coast recruiting, DSR says UCLA and Hoyas are on him the hardest.

When do players usually announce? Obviously it would be nice to see how our players currently on the roster do at improving their handle before deciding the type of guard we need.

Not sure Bronxitos is happy about this. His athleticism is far from elite and he is a 6'3 2.

He doesn't have elite level athleticism but he flat out gets it done. Reminds me of Shelvin Mack.
I'd take him in a second. If we could pair him with Gabe York in the backcourt, even better.

Agreed, he would be a great pick up. Also like that he is built to help immediately.

Bronxitos is consistent. He wants to stay away from power guards who are limited athletically. Not sure Bronxitos is happy about this. His athleticism is far from elite and he is a 6'3 2. Shock of the century.

That said, the kid can play. I'd take him as he'd likely be a 4-year guy who contributes throughout his career. Really like him as a college player. Hate him as an NBA prospect.

His description on his ESPN recruiting page could be used to describe Austin Freeman. I'm sure we'd all take another Austin all day long. He's also described as a very good passer, with a very high bball IQ, a good rebounder for his size, who can play and defend both guard positions. He sounds like the perfect compliment to Markel if you ask me.
As far as his size or lack there of, I am not at all concerned about it at the 2 given we have plenty of it with Whittington, Porter, Thompson, Lubick, Hopkins, Adams and Ayegba.

Bronxitos is well respected in these parts for his bball acumen. Can you say the same dear lad? As a matter of fact the Bronxito has never heard of you. Not sure Bronxitos is happy about this. His athleticism is far from elite and he is a 6'3 2. your opinion is stupid. you talk about yourself in the third person....what?
