One game at a time.

Considering the Jekyll and Hyde nature of this team we'll probably win this game even though we should lose.
Then we'll let Born Ready drop 25 on us.

Once again the anticipation for an important game has been smothered by a poor game against a mediocre team. The story of the '09-'10 Hoyas it seems.

Other than Cuse, this is the only other team in the league that scares me matchup wise. Ebanks is a beast as is De'Sean. We'll need to play exceptionally well to win this game

Have a really bad feeling about this game. They are a horrible match-up for us.

Fortunately, I think WVU has looked just as flat as us recently. They have pulled out games, so credit them for that, but they havent played well. Wouldnt surprise me at all if we hung around all game with a chance to win at the end.

We haven't put together two full halves of basketball in weeks. I don't see it happening against WVU.

This was a game I circled before the season thinking we would win. I like the match ups and we get up for big games. That said, over the course of the last 4 games, my confidence in this team has been shaken. Even in our two most recent wins...Providence and L'ville....i hate having to rely on extraordinary individual 2nd half performances to pull it out. If we pull this one out its only because we play great team ball for two halves....something we've done only 3 or 4 times all season. We need to rebound (in every sense of the word) to win this one.

I think this is the second hardest regular season game on our schedule -- the hardest being at Syracuse.
I'm not sure that actually decreases our chances of winning at this point.

www.lexy.com/feed/episode?id=122250 (audio minute preview) The Hoyas need to understand that their is no such thing as a bounch back game in the NCAA tourney. Lets hope this team makes some noise in the Big East Tourney to get our Swagger back.

So when they extend their 1-3-1, do we attack it or do we pass it around the perimeter and turn it over 19 times like we did last year?
If we put forth a rebounding effort like we did yesterday, we'll be lucky to get five defensive rebounds. Considering how hard they're going to be crashing the boards, I'd like for us to get out in transition and get some fast break points... but I'm not holding my breath.

Good news is that we tend to win Big games after losses . How bout we try to not start any possible Jinx thread before the game.

If Chris is wildly ineffective again, I would love to see Vee in the game with Jason and Austin handling the ball. Chris is killing us right now. Last week of the season, if they can't win BOTH of these games then our expectations for the BE and NCAA should crumble. Show some passion and pride for once guys.

24 hours to game time and we have only 15 posts in the game thread.....
I hate this matchup for a lot of reasons but if we want to stay in this game we have to keep WVU off rebs and second chance points to a reasonable #. They score a lot off their own misses.

In the few games I've seen WVU this year, they have tended to go on prolonged periods of droughts on offense. This is not unlike what we've experienced this year at times. The difference between us and them is that they defend ferociously from tip to buzzer. We're going to need a markedly better rebounding performance on both ends of the floor, like KHoyaNYC says, to keep them from getting second chance points.
If Austin isn't ready to go, I hope JTIII doesn't force him out there again. Let Hollis and Vee try to pick up the slack. With the double bye more likely than not out of reach, we should focus on getting Austin healthy for the BET and NCAAs.
Need to see a sustained effort for 40 minutes. It might not be enough to win the game. I don't expect to come out of Morgantown with a win, and if they play well in a losing effort it wouldn't be the end of the world. But if they come out of the gate sleepwalking again with a body language that says they deserve to win despite not showing any intensity and desire, they are a lesser group of ball players than many of us have been trying to give them credit for.
