Our guys look really unsure of their spacing on offense...worrisome.

Really played badly the last 10 minutes. Without Greg and Vaughn BOTH in the game we had no offensive options inside and couldn't get the offense in gear. Given the fact that we were playing junk line ups, I feel confident that the starters will come out and get things going. Just have to hope that fouls don't jump up and decide to interfere.

Alright, time to regroup and get a run to start the second half. No more bad decisions. Greg needs to be more careful with the ball. Need to do a better job boxing out for defensive boards. More cuts. It also wouldn't hurt if lumpy's j started falling.
Very winnable.

I don't understand what happens when our offense runs this poorly versus when it's running well. But it's hard to watch when we're just standing around looking stupid.

bottom line -- if we want to get a double-bye, can't afford to drop either of these road games this week -- these are games we should, and must, win. if shooting is off, we need to find another way to get it done...amp up the defense and take it to the friars. just go in there and take care of business. grind out the win and on to the next one. survive and advance. <enter sports cliche here> so, far, this looks like one of those games, imo. when the shots arent dropping, we need to grind out a win. We'll see.

Maybe we should just play against top 10 teams every game.

Need to box out better on the defensive end. Way too many offensive boards given up. Henry's looking horrible.

Not so much worried that this is close, it's more the way it happened which concerned me. It's not like Providence is shooting the lights out or playing good defense or doing anything particularly good-other than standing in the right spot for offensive rebounds from awful shots. That's the scary thing so far. Better wake up, fellas. Dont want to give this team hope and get tight down the stretch.

Providence is not good. I feel ok going into the second. A first half where Sims, Benimon, and Thompson are on the floor together for a long stretch makes me think JTIII feels ok, too.
Come out and execute, play good D, and put them away with an early run.

GuJook's right,
Providence was nothing special and still took a lead based on our sloppy play and inability to rebound. They look like the hungrier team right now.
We have to play harder in the second half. The Friars won't back down and already think they have us on the ropes.

Greg needs to give up layups before getting his second foul early in the half. I'd rather they lay it up and he stay in for 5 more minutes than the other way around.

Looks like another night of Death by Bench. Need a big second half turnaround from EVERYONE.

Can we play with some fire in the 2nd half?

Yeah, key is early in the second half. We typically play well when we reload with the starters to start the second half. Our starting 5 played well when they were out there. The concern is that if its a 3 point game or so with 10-12 minutes left, then it's anyone's game, IMO.

May not want to let them take unobstructed 3s

This is what happens when you let teams off the mat. They sense that they're in the game, and then all of a sudden they start playing over their heads.
