The return of Charlie Daniels? "And we had Lil Phunk raising the roof at the half. We had the magic show couple last week, so that leaves the Devil went down to Georgia martial arts routine for tomorrow." forums.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=425&f=1323&t=5592081

Strangely, the Hoyas played at Providence only 3 times the entire last decade. JTIII was 1-0, Esherick 0-2. Overall, Georgetown has lost 7 of the last 10 games between the two teams in that building. Can anyone tell I'm terrified of tonight's game? I think we're all edgy about this one, Dog - but I have a feeling we learned what we needed to from the USF game and will get this one in the plus column.

A very big game. There is no question we are capable of great wins, but we need to show consistency now and road wins are what define the good teams in the league.
We haven't won to in a row since Pitt/Rutgers, and we haven't won three in a row since Harvard/St John's/De Paul.

Please guys, don't drop the ball against Providence. We can't afford another conference loss to one of the have nots.

"We" are all in this one together against Providence. If'n the Hoyas and Gators square off in March, we'll be partin' companies. Until that point, we both want the same thing. Austin probably wants the Longhorns to win and I'm betting Tiger pulls for Clemson as well. But tonight, Go Hoyas!

We just need to come out and play like we're capable of playing.
Curry and Brooks are two very good offensive players, and the Friars can definitely shoot the ball. We just have to play 40 minutes and if that happens, hopefully good things will follow.

I wonder what the contingency plan is if the second snow wave tonight is bad? Do they stay up in Providence for a while and then make it back? Just stay the entire week and head to NJ from there?

wtf, who deleted my post? why do all the mods want to stroke hifi on this board? why does he get so much leeway? the guy is a total troll and a backwater burnout. unbelievable. I deleted it, brasky. Hifi is trollish but you need to lay off the homophobic references. And why do we have to keep deleting posts from the usual suspects?!

Jay mariotti: Big east is too strong your national champion will come from the group Syracuse, Villanova, and Georgetown. and 3 out of 4 said the Big east is the best conference. Blackinstone from DC said big 12.

And he's playing well, patrolling the paint and fighting for rebounds!
Just set a screen to free up AF for the j. Needs to box out though.

Coach must feel REAL comfortable with this game to have Sims and Benimon getting extended minutes TOGETHER in the first half. Maybe we don't have that many other options with Greg having two fouls and them slamming the glass.

If Benimon is going to play he has to shoot. He doesn't have to shoot often or ever make his shots, but he has to shoot just so that d's can't sag completely when he is in.

first time i've ever seen clark make more than 1 bad decision in a row we need to give hollis something to get his confidence up--guy has to not be afraid of contact on drives or taking that open shot
its also a bit telling that at this point I just expect to see free sink a bunch of j's effortlessly

Much smoother with Greg back in. Need to limit their second chances. Hit the boards.
