Funny thing, he's thought to be a Cuse lean.

He's not now-they don't have room for him--nor did they ever really want him. What I laugh about--he's one of those guys that is ranked decently, yet nobody's fanbase or coaching staff seems to really be that hot after-and watching him play, I don't want any part of this--I'd say Hoyas have tougher players on roster now and this isn't known as a tough team by any means. He's a 6'8 kid who plays 6'2 and they need to get away from that crap.

I actually think he will be fine at Gtown. He hasn't played with an elite level pg yet. I mean a pass first guard pg. He finished well and has gotten better every year at Dematha.

man, if Hopkins wants to come, TAKE HIM......The kid needs to be more aggressive, but he's got a skill set, and at this point he's a top 100 kid and we're not in any position to pick and choose. We need size and length and he offers both.

Hopkins is tentatively set to visit Kansas the weekend of September 11-12.
In addition to Kansas, these are the other schools he is mentioning: Texas, Ohio State, West Virginia, Miami, Gtown, Virginia Tech and Maryland.

Heard from a Dematha teammate that he likes Gtown a lot. He thinks that's where he's gonna go. I hope he is right.

he's always loved Gtown...duno if we had showed him the love back (untill maybe recently) but he's a good skilled player regardless and if he wants to come he should!

I'm all for this young'un to come this way. Let's keep the Dematha pipeline moving. Everyone says he is passive, but I haven't seen him play so I can't comment but he is tall and skilled and I think the staff can work with him and make him into a great player.
Come on down Mikael.

Sign him up...if somehow we ended up with Hopkins and Thompson as anchors of this class, that would be a pretty good haul all things considered.

He is a good player. Anypne who has seen him play knows he doesnt get touches often at Dematha. He fits well into our system.

I'd be happy to welcome Hopkins to the Hoyas. The kid has all the tools to improve and get to the next level and there is no better place to give him those tools than G'town. He's got a variety of post moves already, pretty good foot work, can block some shots, looks to have a nice outlet pass, etc.. Add some muscle, some explosiveness, some experience, and a some Big Man U know how and we've got ourselves a player.

He has an offer.
Not a big fan of his, but the Hoyas need bigs, and he might be the last man standing.

Sooner than later is probably a good thing for Georgetown, given Mikael's longstanding relationship with the program. For some reason, have a good feeling about this one.
