"Mikael Hopkins will announce his College decision on Monday, November 1st." twitter.com/DeMathaHoops[/Why do I have a feeling that come 11/1 we will have another Moses Abraham-esque frenzy on this board. Pretty sure that was the last time I pulled an all nighter.

Visiting Ohio State next weekend along with Sam Thompson for Miami game. Hope they talk Hoyas while they are there.
According to ZagsBlog and Scout, Hopkins will officially visit Kansas on 9/24, then Miami, West Virginia and Texas in October. He will not take officials to Virginia Tech, Georgetown or Maryland.

For a guy who many on this board on down on, I am a little surprised that Hopkins is getting attention from some of the best programs in the country.

DeMathaHoops Coach Self, Coach Dooley and Kansas great Danny Manning are all visiting with Mikael right now. Coach Self is very impressive to speak to.
DeMathaHoops Mikael Hopkins had a great visit with Sidney Lowe from NC State tonight. Leaves for an official visit to Ohio State tomorrow afternoon.

Heard Kansas is the favorite. He would be an ideal fit for a Hoya 4-man. I think he will be a Hoya!

They are recruiting Norvel Pelle pretty hard, as well as Hopkins and Chol. If they get Pelle, I don't think Hopkins will go there (although KU hasn't had much luck in recruiting battles this year).

last i heard Gtown and VT lead. and I also think KU will land higher rated players and Hopkins will fall right into our lap. Maybe just wishful thinking.

Didn't I see a tweet somewhere saying that Hopkins already knew where he was going but was holding off announcing until 11/1? Maybe I'm making it up. But if that was the case I find it a little hard to believe that he'd go out to Lawrence, KS for late night at the Phog and not be ready to commit there. If it was Georgetown that he liked I don't have any idea why he'd make that trip when he could come across town and be at our festivities.

I don't remember seeing that said, but he's having coaches form all over the nation fly in to woo him these past couple of weeks doesn't seem like he's decided. But even if he had made up his mind I don't see how that prohibits him from going to Late night having a fun time and then choosing to go else where. He's already set a date for his announcement and it's not till november, so it's not like he's picking and day now. so I don't see where he's visiting for MM vs his other visits are that important.

Maybe it was just somebody speculating that he had his mind made up, rather than a report of such. *shrug* I still don't like our odds but you never know.

Some kids just enjoy being wooed by the coaches even though they know they aint going there. We all know what goes on at some of those visits and I'd take all mine too. Lol. Remember "He Got Game"!! All jokes aside I can't see him passing up a shot to play in the DMV instead of waiting for Kansas to see who they don't get.

I remember seeing a tweet about Hopkins having already decided where he was going. When I was in high school I knew 2 kids who took visits just to take visits. I'm not saying that he is doing the same thing but it happens.

Just because a date has been announced doesn't mean he already knows where he's going.
