Jesse, Greg, and Austin are trying to make #HenrySims a trending topic on Twitter. It's pretty entertaining.

For those of us who do not use Twitter, what do you mean?

Jesse, Greg, and Austin are trying to make #HenrySims a trending topic on Twitter. It's pretty entertaining. unfortunately one gets the impression that all their mock hating on Henry might have been inspired right here. As for richfame and his unique brand of henry bashing, i will deal with that via pm. For now, I will let the stats do the talking: hoyaprospectus.blogspot.com/2007/11/georgetown-individual.html

I for one don't like these player threads that much. It's all knee jerk reaction, either "Chris sucks...no wait he's awesome" or "Henry hasn't shown anything and therefore will never develop."
Let the kid play without scrutinizing everything. I think it's pretty clear that some of his difficulties out there are due to nerves. He appears to me to want to make a play every time he's out there, and that probably is due to not playing very much last year. As he gets more comfortable with his minutes, I'm sure he'll get more comfortable just going out there and playing instead of pressing. Or, you could ignore the 5 good things he does out there and focus on the 3 bad things because that fits your worldview better.

well put chep. Hank is on the verge of a breakthrough...I can feel it! Hope so - the Sims bashers on this board are - almost without exception - the most consistently negative people around here. There's something personal against this kid that comes through in these posts, and it has no place here. Here's hoping he shuts them up soon!

I want The Player to succeed more than anyone. I hope he scores 16 points and grabs 10 boards agains marquette knowone would be happer than me. I want to win a national championship just as much as everyone on here. I dont see how im always negative I love chris, greg, the coach, and there are a ton of positvies this year. The team seems to have improved chemistry seems to have improved rebounding from last year.
Sure Ive been critical with regards to Henry, If people on the board think hes done a great job and excelling then great everyones entitled to there opinion. But to say im a crappy fan, or ignorant yada yada Thats just not necessary. Hope the kid gets it, he seems to have a great personality and desire to perform, what else needs to be said....

No one's saying he's been amazing. People are just defending him form the people who have said he's terrible and looks like he'll never contribute. He's contributing as we speak.

When In fact a freshmen has passed him by, he cant play defense and has showed 0 offensive game. Id ask anyone to tell me when hes put two offensive moves together and scored...
This part especially sounds as though you're rooting for him and/or you have belief that he's doing his best and improving. The best part is that what you wrote isn't true.

Contrary to what we've seen thus far. Henry can shoot the 3. I wish he would finally make a couple. I think it would change our opponents defensive strategy when he gets in the game opening up passing lanes. I noticed Depaul was daring him to shoot the open 3. I'm still hopeful for him. He was a great outside shooter in HS. Give him the green light coach.

Ugh, no thanks on Henry shooting 3's. It'd remind of early last year, where I think he was a little too trigger happy and bricked almost all of them.
I'd rather he keep focusing on what he's been doing (some of which he hasn't yet): playing in position, making good passes, rebounding, defense, getting some points inside, and making free throws.

One thing is certain. The players are definitely a lot funnier than their fans. That trending topic was pure gold. Pure gold. After reading it, all I have to say is: Monroe was right -- Henry Sims is the batmobile.

He played 3 minutes, and I don't remember them. I remember him standing flat-footed, watching as a Pitt player made a layup next to him. I also remember him sitting on the bench almost immediately.
