Let's say hypothetically he decommitted from UConn because Calhoun retired. Does everyone think we wouldn't take him? I mean, we were in his top 3, we are looking for a wing player in 2010, and he's supposedly a better player than Bowen. Why not hold off and see if we could rekindle the interest? Chep-hypothetically speaking if Roscoe was to choose to try and get back in with G'Town, his interest would have nothing to do with Bowen. Roscoe is not a 2 at all. He is a 3. Bowen is not a 3, he is a 2. Thus, if we offered and Roscoe accepted we would have a legitimate 1/2/3/4 in Markel, Aaron, Roscoe, and Nate respectively.. With that said, I dont care what anyone else says and I find it ridiculous if someone thinks we should turn our back on Roscoe if he decided to come. We NEED talent. I dont care who picked who before us. If they want to come and we have a use for them, bring them in, PERIOD!

Bowen is not a 3, he is a 2. You sound pretty certain. How many times have you seen him play? Rivals has him as a small forward. I'm guessing he will play the swing 2/3 role the way Austin and Owens have. As for the Roscoe stuff, it's totally moot IMHO.

Jay Williams and Doug Gottlieb have been absolutely killing UCONN for the last 10 minutes. Essentially called Jerome Dyson a loser and Gottlieb just said that Roscoe is only a oral commit and if he saw that loss to St. John's, is that the kind of program he really wants to be a part of next season.
Great stuff.

I think the ship has sailed for us, but we do have room for Roscoe scholarship wise. I don't think too many of us want to go there.

Oh gosh, how I would hate for any unfair recruiting ploy to go against a program as clean as Uconn.

Alex is too busy fending off Calhoun retirement rumors.

And in addition, his height is listed 6'4" so in actuality he is probably 6'3" so what about that tells you sf. In fact, I dont see Austin as a sf even though he has played it. He is a 2. Dont you agree?

Depends as much on ball skills and outside vs inside game as on height though, as well as the make up of the rest of the team. But I think he'll be a smallish wing/2.

Interesting article from SI, Smith has nice things to say about David Cox and Greg Monroe. Hard to believe he ended up choosing UCONN over the Hoyas based on this article: I'm sure his "people" did all the deciding for him.

I don't think it's that inappropriate to say someone "looks like a hoya" -- particularly if you know that a 'hoya' is not a bulldog.

Seriously. If someone had told him he "looks like a Husky" or "looks like a Tar Heel" would he have associated that with the mascot and not the team?

Interesting article. On the other hand, I thought this quote from Reggie Bullock was chilling:
"One of my boys told me they were going to come beat on the door real hard and have everyone get on the floor just to see what Coach Roy would do. They didn't do that, though."
