Women win @ USF. Hopefully they continue moving up the polls. Play tuesday at home vs. providence.

Ladies should definitely jump in the polls as seven of the teams ranked 16-24 in the Coaches poll lost at least one game (and a few lost two). Some of those losses were to highly ranked teams, but I'd expect to see the lady Hoyas around 21 in coaches and maybe 23 or so in the AP.
Now let's see some continued great results with a pair of home tilts vs. 10-5 Providence and 10-6 Louisville!
EDIT: 23, 24... same difference!

Very nice win over Providence today.
Controlled almost all of the first half, the Friars cut the lead down to 4 in the second and the team made good adjustments and ended with a double digit win. Hopefully they can take the momentum into the game against Louisville on Saturday

#18/#24 Hoyas beat Providence 74-62 Tuesday night at McDonough. The Hoyas jump out to a 16-point halftime lead, and led by 20 at one point in the second half, before Providence went on a furious rally to cut the lead to 4. The Hoyas remained calm though, answering and prevailing for their 13th straight victory, tying a school record. sports.espn.go.com/ncw/recap?gameId=300120046First time seeing freshman star "Sugar" Rogers in person, she is very good, scored 26 points, though was much quieter in the second half. A fun team to watch, the Hoyas are a trapping, pressing team and get a lot of their points by fast break. They forced 21 turnovers vs. Providence, and apparently they lead the nation in turnover margin. When they weren't hitting their threes, though, sometimes they struggled in the halfcourt. It will be fun to watch this team as they go through the Big East season. Crowd was not huge, but decent - 750 is my guess. Next up: Georgetown (14-2, 3-0 Big East) vs. Louisville (10-6, 2-1 Big East), 2pm at McDonough. Should be a good one. I remember Louisville beat us pretty bad last year at McDonough, not sure if it's mostly the same team.

I echo the sentiments about tonight's game. Great to see the Hoyas win and rally back when Providence made it close. Sugar is scary good and will only get better. I really hope more people will come out and see them because it's definitely worth it. Coach has brought the team a long way and they deserve the recognition.

You know, I really like seeing our score on the ESPN ticker.
Hopefully we can do that for the rest of the season

I remember Louisville beat us pretty bad last year at McDonough, not sure if it's mostly the same team. I doubt it. Louisville lost to UCONN in the title game last year, so I'm assuming since they don't have a great record that they lost some key pieces. But still should be a good game on Saturday

They were pretty silent until Providence made it close except for a few people. I implored vcjack to get the Hoya Blue kids to be more vocal but really only the band and cheerleaders were loud consistently. Like I said, they really deserve a big turnout so hopefully more people are taking notice. There's no excuse to not turn out Saturday unless you're out of town (which I sadly will be).

Also available on ESPN 360. I didn't know I had that until I realized that my Comcast service gets me in for free.
EDIT: Hoyas Win, Hoyas Win, Hoyas Win, Hoyas Win, Hoyas Win! ;-)
