The moral of the story is, all of your hometowns are clearly inferior to the DC metro area. That's why you lot come here and never leave. And if you're from the DC area, you are blessed. ...because you can always get tickets to the game. ...and they never let you down, because they are never supposed to win (thats why i dont mind rooting for the Nats)

Obama told a Tampa audience he was pulling for the Rays and a Philly one that he was pulling for them. All politicians do it. Remember Bill's bracket last season had a lot of swing state schools doing well.

Growing up in Maryland and being in middle/highschool during the Esherick years while we were bad and the terps were good it was tough to be a hoya fan. It was pretty much me an Jimmyhoya against everyone else. How sweet it is to have things reversed. I have one thing to say to terp fans, " SUCK FAILURE FREAKS!" This is the reason i hate UMD. Also grew up in md, and was actually a fan of there during the joe smith erea, but once i went to gtown, the vitriol I heard from them, when AI played for gtown and then during the esherick era was unbearable. The way the dc media treated gtown as the Away team, and UMD as the home team during the whole 90's and 2000's is the reason i hate umd basketball.. also having a womanizing, mean-spirited, egomaniac as a coach also makes me despise them. -M
