I agree. After this icing of the cake... Adios, Gary.

No Hoya fan should be rooting for Gary to be gone.

Hey I remember someone saying they wanted to see Gary's face during the handshaking afterward. Anyone catch it on tape and willing to send that party to me? I din't even get to watch the game... FLHoya got a picture of it I think. He's in the car on the long drive home today.

Syracuse fans and Maryland fans are basically the same people, just switch the red for orange and you could never tell them apart. Lot of NJ people in both places, which explains a lot.
Agree we should be rooting for Gary to stay on. They have a nice facility, good conference, good program history, and they're in our backyard. If they had a coach who wasn't terrible they'd be a pretty attractive spot for recruits. Not to say that we still couldn't beat them for the DaJuan Summers, Austin Freemans and Chris Wrights of the world, but we'd probably lose some recruits to them now and again and they'd surely have better talent than they've got now.

I'm just angry we didn't win by 40.
Not really. That was a first class ass-kicking, and I loved every second of it. This game meant a lot to me; no matter how the rest of the season plays out (hopefully well), we will always have this game to look back on (Bogie to Bergman - "we'll always have Paris"). This is the happiest I've been since my dad passed away. He knew how much I hate Maryland, and I'm sure he was cheering like mad somewhere.
We don't need to schedule these turkeys. Stick with American and bring back WG.

I hope we don't play them for another 15 years. The longer that this is the most recent meeting between us, the better.

So we have the notoriously tepid Californians and bougie skybox Westchester kids as our fans? Great.

Aren't those the ones that almost get everyone killed in Louisville? Those guys are Editeds. PS. I still can't hear that heckler. That scoreboard was too loud.

Still my favorite line.
Don't forget the tough-guy-New-Yorkers-turned-soft-Californians. They always try to fight the old guys.

So we have the notoriously tepid Californians and bougie skybox Westchester kids as our fans? Great. We clearly have all types. But for us locals that grew up in the DC area, this victory is particularly sweet. All I had up to this point was hazy memories of my friends talking about how awesome Joe Smith was and working at the Tombs that fateful night in 2001. This one matters little in terms of the season, but it sure felt good for me.

I'm straight out of Jersey and strongly dislike the majority of the state. Georgetown actually does well in terms of picking the flowers out of the dirt.

Out back by the jacuzzi?
