I didn't know where to put this.... UCLA recently tied Inter Milan 2-2 in an exhibition in L.A., and yes Ibra played, etc. Now, this is good cause it means UCLA is a quality opponent, but I was more wondering what the odds of us scheduling a similar summer match against a European club team were, considering this is their pre-season....

She blew out her knee last summer in international play. I think she still showed up on campus. Bummer that she transferred.

The Hoyas have the #28 ranked recruiting class according to CollegeSoccerNews.com "The hoyas reached out to 5 different states to secure their 6 member recruiting class/ NSCAA HS All American and NY state POY Midfielder James Nealis headlines a very balanced clas. Midfielders Ian Christianscon form Iowa, Matt Hammet form Colorado , Tommy MUller form Florida and Andy Riemer from Virginia, and Forward Mark Luxama form NY complete a noteworthy class.

We should have at least been RV Men's www.nscaa.com/seniorRes.php?it=962still no hoyas UMD #1 STJ #5 Cal #8 USF #11 Uconn & ND Tie at 12 UCLA #19 Louisville #25

This is one of the worst polls I've ever seen. Honestly, I mean you kind of expect journalist's preseason picks to be somewhat this bad, but this is kind of Vitale level of disappearing Hoyas act. UCLA at 19 is also a joke in Men's, they're a top 10 team easily.

Don't think we'll get any respect on either men/women's side until we make some kind of breakthough, e.g., big upset win, winning a game in NCAA tournament. Hopefully this year will be the year. I think that the coahing staffs + full schollies have been in lace long enough to begin to expect seeing some improvement in results.

It's worth mentioning that GU does have an NCAA win (saw it at Richmond against VCU in '97, baby!).

also worth mentioning that that is when they had hardly any scholarships. We had great crowds - the team played down where the football is now.

Yeah the field location is definitely a detriment in terms of fan support.

I think you're giving students too much credit, HSB. Field location is a detriment for fan support of the baseball team. Getting to North Kehoe is a matter of walking up a hill. Of course scheduling is probably a detriment (midweek afternoon games especially) that might be solved by games at the MSF--soccer night games, if use of the lights isn't prohibitively expensive--and there weren't issues with playing on FieldTurf, but let's not act like students have to trek to Cabin John Park to see games.
