I will be watching a) because there are likely only 2 games left and I will miss it all for the next 8+ months and b) because I want to Akok and Riley and Bristol, Mutumbo and maybe just maybe Anglin & Bass one last time, maybe the last time in a Hoya uniform. Barring some injury, seeing Mutumbo, Anglin and Bass over these next two games is unfortunately wishful thinking. The games have not mattered for over a month now, and our soon to be former head coach has shown he is not interested in player development- likely because he knows he will not be around next year.

It pains me to think that there are only a few Hoya games left this year. I would love to see them get some wins in NYC but that seems like a longshot. The Hoyas have played well in Omaha at times...fingers crossed...and as always, GO HOYAS!!! I think it is merciful that there are only two more games left in the season. Asking for more games this year would be like sending your fighter out to fight another round when he is clearly outmatched. It is time to throw in the towel and start anew.

I predict pain. They hustle, we don't. They generally play smart, we don't. They adjust, we don't. They'll adjust to Primo the way everyone else has and force Murray to beat them with fewer then 5 turnovers (he won't). You do wonder if we’ll ever have a game when Heath, Murray and Primo are all on. Odds wise you figure that will happen in one game out of 30. If that happens we will blow the team out of the water. So if all the stars align, pigs fly, and the cow jumps over the moon, we'll win in a blowout.

The term "Senior" itself has been rather amorphous under the Ewing regime. All we know is that these are the four players that Ronny, Howze and sports information believe are "Seniors". Fingers crossed that they are on track to graduate for APR purposes!

Eventually gonna need someone like Lappas to state the obvious, that Patrick is over his head and it’s hurting the kids and the conference. I think that deep down, Ewing is going to be relieved when he is mercifully let go at the end of the season because of how outmatched he is. $12 million won’t hurt either. What a disgrace.

This is like the Harlem Globetrotters versus the Washington Generals. Alley-oops? Check. Passes through the legs? Check.

Even their bulldog looks more “game ready” than ours.

You have to finish that BM Honestly- his play has been detrimental to the team today. Drives into traffic, wild three point shots and not getting back on defense.

Just lazy. If you’re not going to rebound, at least stay with your man.

First part of this article is interesting about New Mexico State's Greg Heiar, whom our very own Kevin Nickelberry coached with at LSU. "A quick Minutes look at which seats are hottest in the top conferences as we head into the final weeks of the season:... Big East (29): Georgetown has to come to grips with moving on from cherished alum Patrick Ewing (12–45 overall, 1–33 in the league the past two seasons). St. John’s is also due for a change, with Mike Anderson on track to miss the NCAAs for the fourth time in four seasons on the job." www.si.com/college/2023/02/14/nmsu-basketball-shutdown-hazing-coach-greg-heiar Nothing to see here but a lot of hearsay. 😂 I’m not sure you understand the meaning of “hearsay”.

So far it seems like it is near unanimous on RT going. So the question becomes if RT stays, which many believe, how good can any replacement for PE be in fellow poster's thoughts? My feeling is that if RT stays my interest in G'town BB will just about disappear. This ship has to be hit by a rogue wave and tipped of PE and RT, or it would smell of same old, same old. Needs an entirely new look with energy. In a place where there is a chair with a towel draped over its back placed next to the practice court not available for anyone else to use it, where a section of the balcony in McD is reserved for if a ghost shows up, where an empty chair is set near the CapOne court for if a shadow wants to occupy it, what else can we expect? Is anyone allowed to use JT2’s office at the TAC or is it a museum? That’s why a Pitino or Alpha type is needed. Sure, let Ronny come around once in a blue moon to use the John Thompson Museum office at the TAC, but make sure he knows that he is not allowed to interfere with the rest of the staff. One complaint and he’s shut out. Do you all know about the Fellowship of Christian Athletes? That is why we are where we are. After this season, Ronny should be allowed on campus the same way any other member of the public is. He should be welcome to traverse Healy Lawn, walk around the outside of the Thompson Athletic Center, and even enter McDonough to ponder the good old days. Other than that, he should hold no title and have zero access to the program. Maybe Ronny can resume his television career, and if he progresses beyond calling Colonial and Patriot League games he can get into the press room for a Georgetown game as a member of the media. I’m sure the folks in the ticket office at McDonough could find an available seat for Ronny too if he is interested in taking in a game as a fan.

We should have a chance to win this one. Butler is not good this year. But, they are coached and we aren’t……

1) Ewing out 2) the usurper Nickleberry becomes head coach 3) Ronnie stays as the orchestrater and bridge to the past This sounds like a nightmare, worst case scenario. Personally, I would stop following Georgetown basketball if this happened.

1. Ewing out 2. Ronny out 3. James Jones in as head coach (or enter some other safe but not necessarily inspiring choice here).

Ewing couldn't hire Kevin Braswell because he was so intimidated by Braswell's previous head coaching experience. Not sure how Pitino could hire Ewing. After watching the last six seasons, how could anyone think that Ewing is qualified to coach in any capacity at the college level?

Among the many GU fundraising e-mails sent throughout the year, I find this one to be the most interesting because it reveals the former athletes’ competitive school spirit and post-graduation engagement with GU… through the athletes’ pockets… The e-mail reads: “Hoyas! We are in the homestretch of the 2023 Letterwinners Challenge. See where your team stands and make your gift before the buzzer!” Here’s the link to the Challenge (which is about to end): letterwinnerschallenge.georgetown.edu/?appealcode=23AG004272&dids=10.11.12.18.21.22.23.26.27.32.33.39.40.59.64.65.66.535.67.68.69.70.71.72&amt=100Check out the Leaderboard. You can play around with it to see how teams are ranked in donations, amount of donors and % of participation. Guess which team is the worst… It’s time, Jack. Good for our basketball alums! I’m certainly not giving a dime to Georgetown basketball until appropriate and long overdue changes are made. I don’t blame our basketball letterwinners for doing the same thing.

I did not watch the game today because there are so many better things to do than watch our coach fumbling around and letting our starting five play “me” ball until they are tired (and then let them play some more). What legit programs out there have their starting center randomly disappear for a game? I’ll give you a hint at why this probably happened- it’s the guy that yells “MOVE” and “REBOUND” for 40 minutes. I cannot wait until we have moved on from this nightmare. It can’t happen soon enough. We have some exciting hockey ahead though - Taransenko! 😂
