Obiagu killed us in the first game. I think Q's new passing prowess will help him considerably against Obi. Pass it, get it back, move with purpose. We've got a punchers chance tonight and we just need to get off to an OK start. Maybe not scorching shooting but at least no dumb ass turnovers and one of Bile/Pickett needs to show up on O. Do that, and I think we get a W. Make Mamu work on D. I challenge your use of the word "prowess"!π While the concept of passing out of the double team is no longer entirely foreign to Q, "prowess" is still miles away. There is also the question of whether Hall will feel it necessary to double Q at all with Obi defending him. But there is a natural tendency by defenders to say in when the ball goes inside, so yes if Wahab can either explode into a move before Obi can defend it, or pass it right back out for a perimeter look, we can benefit.

Props to the kid - stepped up big time and couldn't have been more clutch. Well done. I cant believe 4 people "liked" this post. Hopefully you will be big enough to come back and post this each time you are proven clueless about CBB guard play over the next 3+ years. To be fair, boya did not have to come on and post at all. If the program keeps looking up we can ALL enjoy a HOYA resurgence.

Nothing like calling your shot in advance. Between the missed free throws and that foul, JREβs mistakes were all over that loss. Yup, JRE (6'9") had 26 points and 6 rebounds against a 6'11" and & a 7 footer (neither who had more than 6 rebounds themselves) - such a poor performance.Β Not sure what game you were watching, but even with his miscues he schooled your bigs. As for the criticism of Jay, watch Willard and Hurley tonight, see how quiet they are. Yeah we had little answer for JRE or for Samuels. Just glad we were able to limit the others enough to squeak out the win. I was frustrated watching JRE operate - until I reminded myself that gee, I guess there is a reason he was co-player of the year. As for Coach Wright - it is probably just that his pleading and disbelief looks are more expressive than Willard and Hurley - one of the reasons they keep a camera on him pretty much constantly. Hope Moore heals up enough by next weekend for you guys to represent the Big East well.

GAMEDAY!!!! How nice it is to be back in games that matter! My coworkers must think I'm crazy for wearing the same thing 3 days in a row (have a nice blue and grey shirt that is my gameday shirt nowadays)...good for them I at least washed it. At this point, we know what the Hoyas need to do to win: be the more physical team. If we win the boards, keep them from getting their spots on offense, and punish them down low we can take this one. Seton Hall is a good team but we can out work them. Loved Dante's heroics yesterday but we need Jamarko and Bile to step up and give him a break...would love both of them to get their shots in. Jamarko had an early shot that was in rhythm albeit a bit quick...get him an early shot again because if that goes in, his 3 is money the rest of the game. Keep those feet moving on defense, don't bite on pump fakes, and get their bigs into foul trouble. GO HOYAS!!! BEAT THE PIRATES! It's good that your co-workers are unaware that you are wearing the same underwear 3 days in a row as well.π

This talk about deciding between anyone and Baldwin is dumb. I'd take Margot Robbie over my wife, but I'm not realistically going to have that option. Don't sell yourself short Dog. Margot would be lucky to have you.

Still smiling 4 hours later! Playing a team we already beat once this year, will be tough especially third game in three days, but we have some shooters who have not had their best BET games yet.

Best case scenario for us with this 2nd QF going to OT. 5 or 6 OT's would be great!

You're sure you want us to face Seton Hall? Their team and those big guys are dangerous!! Our guys have not shown that they can handle those guys, but there is a time for everything. That would be a heck if a mountain range to climb. I'd like to see the Wizards get Mahamullashevelli. They would have to sew two jerseys together to put his name on the back, or shorten it to Mamu! I could have sworn we beat them not long ago. My memory must be fading.

I just saw that Xavier is trying to schedule a game for the weekend against someone good enough to pad their resume.
Nova is available.

My wearing my 1984 champion t-shirt under my GU sweatshirt has made the difference. Now if I can keep my wife from throwing the t-shirt into the laundry, we might go all the way. 23-23: wow. Every one of them counted. And Q is 14-14 in the BET. Great FT offense. GO HOYAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hide the t-shirt. Some things are really important. Don't hide it. Just leave it on.

I'm starting to think the only guy Q could stop from driving to the goal is Jamorko. It would not be Q stopping Jamorko. It would be Jamorko.
