Different animal today. Tied at 8 w/ Marquette at the half. They have scouted us well; taken Carraway out of the game. We should still win.

To be fair, he looked quite happy celebrating with teammates after they secured the league title.

This is very good team. Oddly, Carraway may be the best Hoya lax player ever (he is certainly up in the top echelon), but he probably isn't even a Top 5 player in the country this year. And that is not a knock against him by any means - just some ridiculous talent out there. He wasn't a pre-season first teamer, but hopefully he continues to kick butt and proves that it was a huge oversight not to include him. “How quickly they forget”. Signed: Brodie Merrill

There was a player with his knee in a brace and up on a scooter around the huddle at the St. John's game. That, I fear, was Dylan Watson. Looks like no hope for this year and he will be missed as a finisher. Petkevich seems to have picked up some of that slack.

I am ecstatic that Jordan Riley chose Georgetown. It is my opinion that he will prove to be better than even those who are high on him think. As a (former) Long Islander it occurred to me that we haven't had a player from there in quite some time (Im talking nominal L.I-Nassau/Suffolk as opposed to geographical-B'klyn, Queens included). Granted, it's not a hotbed but I am so grateful that Coach Ewing and staff dove in on Riley. Seems like we don't typically recruit there.
My sense wasn't wrong. I am happy to be corrected but I believe the last LI'er was Mark Gallagher (Archbishop Molloy) from Lynbrook; played only the '72-'73 season on Varsity, played Frosh the year before. Before him, the great Dick (Ziggy) Zeitler (Archbishop Molloy) from Seaford '69-'71-also a very good baseball player. An outstanding player was was Bruce Stinebrickner (St. Agnes) from West Hempstead '65-'68.

Watched and enjoyed it. Anyone know why no Dylan Watson?

A distinction should be drawn between what record justifies keeping him in the minds of the fanbase at large versus the minds of those who would make such a decision. Is it fair to say that Georgetown, in all sports, is slower to jettison coaches, especially those with strong ties, than most schools? The phrase 'benign neglect" comes to mind.

We are now #6 recruiting class; Villanova #5. Color me shocked if our class does not prove to be significantly better.

In what way does it make sense that coaches, who traditionally, wear suits and ties for games (I’m talking to you, Jay) are wearing the equivalent of sweats this year? Games are still televised. No one’s in the stands. That’s the difference?

I am curious about Aminu’s journey from Nigeria to D.C. to Missouri and his relationship with Shawn Harmon. Does anyone know this story or have a link? Thanks.

Am I seeing this wrong. I see 3 jerseys in front of him. Gtown, Indiana and Creighton. I don't see Georgia... I got a good feeling when we were right in the middle.

Big guys throw the ball up in what they hope is the vicinity of the basket and hope it drops in. That is not shooting.

Could the “we’re not about the Instagram pictures or the captions”, etc. statements have been a shot at a recently departed Hoya?
