Georgetown's announced crowd of 13,753 was its largest of the season. Unlike the past this was not filled with West Virginia, Syracuse, or Pittsburgh fans. DC is a vastly different place than it was when the MCI Arena opened a long time ago. The city is vibrant, youthful and has a large number of college basketball fans. If the team starts winning this will become DC’s team. The hub of the DMV is the city nobody wants to drive out to college park.

Making our free throws today so important. Had we done this last game it’s a different outcome.

Very exciting! I know Coach thinks this is incredibly important on so many levels.

39-14 Hoyas with 3 minutes to go. I understand we’re not playing against Alabama. But have to be able to enjoy this afternoon!

Jeff had a great game and announcers were singing his praises 19 points 8 rebounds 1 assist, 1 block, no turnovers LeBron James “Jeff Green is my guy”.

Pass...save the scholly for 19! With Govan, Mourning, and Carter don't see the need. If Govan leaves I still say pass. Sometimes it's as important who you don't sign as it is who you do sign... My prediction is St. Bonaventure. I can't argue with your prediction and have no idea if he is a good fit for the Hoyas. But extra scholarships are a bit of "fool's gold" and while simply filling the roster doesn't make any sense if the staff wants a kid i would support them in lieu of saving a scholarship for another year.

Language is vague. It simply says transfers need to have an average of 3.0 to be able to play. It doesn’t a 3.0 before the transfer. Thus potentially summer classes at Georgetown could lead to a 3.0 or even fall semester for a spring semester start. It’s all speculative at this point.

Didn’t we have another 6 foot shoot first point guard with a killer crossover? Played his heart out? I might be mistaken but I seem to recall that he was not a huge fan of practice...

Big change over 2 years ago when they were considered "a little guy". Winning Championships and getting to the Final Four can do that... Agree It does also impact positively on the league

I was in Philadelphia for the FGCU game. This reminded me so much of that nightmare night. In today’s college basketball teams that play controlled system basketball often have no answer for a hot shooting quick aggressive team.

Weirdly, DePaul an St. Johns were only 2 times that we looked worse when facing a team the second time around! Otherwise, clear impprovement, especially lately. Except for depth at PG, we don't look all that different from the top teams in the league right now. Well done coaches and team! [/quote Might have been that St. John’s and Depaul were also actually getting better!

I really enjoyed watching today's game. NC A&T is a good little team, and they had some size and quickness. The final margin looked close but we did a great job of keeping the game in hand from the opening tip. Although A&T could make a run, they never threatened. I was really impressed seeing Govan in person. It seemed like he was always in position to make a play on both sides of the ball. He's tough to guard and could have an all Big East type season if he keeps going. I also liked a lot of what Derrickson can do. We have a BE caliber front court. In terms of other things, I thought Jagan had a good day. He had some good plays in transition and looks like he's getting more comfortable, perhaps as he gets healthier. I also liked what I saw from Kaleb. Perhaps I was also just getting into the excitement of seeing the Hoyas in person, but I also thought they could be competitive this year. I don't know what their ceiling is but I'm kinda ready to find out. Also, I was sitting across from the Hoyas bench, and Patrick Ewing will never be accused of being disengaged as a coach. He was animated the whole time, routinely shouting at the top of his lungs when players didn't do what he want. I walked away impressed and ready to see them again next Saturday. My sentiments exactly! So There are two of us at least!
