This is going to be a an unexpected tough matchup on a quick turnaround. They haven't played in a week and have some W's and other close loses.
Big man Femi Olujobi (25 ppg & 9 1/2 boards) is one to look out for. Hopefully another step in world domination for Govan

Beat Jacksonville away 90-82 in OT.
Two guards averaging double figures, and a forward (4?) averaging 25.

Olujobi at 6' 8", 223. Big kid with big average. Make him beat you. Guards only 5'10" and 6'2" (38.7% from 3 on 12/31). Can Hoya guards defend and force them to beat us?

Actually more nervous about this one then the Cuse game. Their definitely going to get up for the game next weekend, but I hope they don't take tomorrow's game lightly.

I suppose it's a sign of the times when you have to regard a MEAC team that's won some games as a tough matchup, but that's basically where we are now. It'll take substantially more effort than we have shown recently to put these guys away. NC A&T has won on the road in Jacksonville and at East Carolina. They also have a handful of other wins along the way.
For us, I think it's a question of whether we can play more like we did out of the gate. Can we find a way to score points and actually improve on defense? I think we will win this game, but I would like to see a lot more from us than we have shown of late.

I didn't realize this: Georgetown won the first matchup, 61-56, at the Copa Navidad in San Juan, Puerto Rico during the 1984-85 season.
The '84-'85 team was probably our best team ever (minus that Nova debacle), and NC A&T came close to us. Maybe Patrick remembers that game, and will lecture the team on not taking NC A&T too lightly.

I agree that the team shouldn’t take this lightly as they have in the last few games (for at least part of those games). But let’s not overdo it. NC A&T might be better than Howard or Coppin State but they’re still not a good team. They are 284th in shooting threes, they get very few offensive rebounds, they are among the worst nationally defending against 2’s (Govan should be able to go to town), and they don’t block shots on defense (2nd worst nationally). The things they do okay so far are shooting twos, drawing fouls, and shooting FTs, and defending threes (which many people think is a mostly random stat and not that meaningful in either direction). Still we have a big edge. Losing this game would be an abysmal reflection on our team. I don’t expect it will happen. Their schedule has been almost as bad as ours. Their Division I wins are against Citadel (306), Jacksonville (326), and East Carolina (258). This is not impressive. Their other wins aren’t even Division I teams.

I really would like to watch this, but the clown show that is Fox Sports and low access makes this tough again. I can find WCC games, particularly St. Mary’s far more easily than Big East and Georgetown games and I’m in the DC area.
Ideas for watching?

You could actually go to the game. If I could I would, but kid’s basketball schedule makes that not in the cards today. Fox Sports Go app and you can watch online. I'm watching Marquette/Wisconsin before heading to Cap One Arena.

Fox Sports Go only shows what is on Fox Sports 1 for me not Fox Sports 2, which Comcast doesn't offer on cable so doesn't offer streaming either.
