I revised to include language from the original press release saying there's a blanket waiver this year. If you are talking about this: "In December, the Council continued its trend toward providing maximum flexibility for student-athletes during the pandemic and granted a waiver that allowed all students who had transferred and were sitting out their year in residence the ability to compete this season. That waiver applied only to student-athletes who had transferred by the start of fall 2020." That appears to say that in 2020, December it was decided that anyone who transferred by fall 2020, could automatically get their 1st waiver and play in the 20-21 season. But Mac actually had already gotten a waiver in September. Either way it seems to say that would still count as the 1st waiver. My first link in my original post was the official NCAA statement: www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/di-council-adopts-new-transfer-legislationI was confused too by the language in the FAQ second link (hence my original comments), but based on the official statement in the first link it is very clear that there is a blanket waiver for this year.

This seems to be what they are saying. They are putting an emphasis on "one time transfer waiver". So long story short Mac is out of luck. I revised to include language from the original press release saying there's a blanket waiver this year. Based on the language, it seems like the only people that could be "out of luck" with this rule are players that previously transferred and sat out a year and want to use their one time waiver in a future year (like the old traditional grad transfer). Though one could argue they could transfer this year with a blanket waiver and have that opportunity.

If true, he certainly knows how to upgrade. *Doesn't he have to sit out a year. He already used his sit out and the new rules say you get only one free sit out. The new rule isn't in place yet. The assumption is that everyone will get a waiver like last year.

I am deeply concerned about us having zero seniors if Blair, Pickett and Bile move on. I would give anything if we could get Baldwin and our seniors were to stay. Jaden Robinson
