You spoke too fast Hoya95...DePaul just held Nova scoreless for about 5 minutes. 25-24 Nova at the 2:44 mark. Sumpter has scored 13 of Nova's points.

DePaul has been playing better recently. This should be a great game.
Vegas liked Nova by 4 if that's any indication...

Hmmm. My hopes for a DePaul upset appear to be short lived. Maybe they can at least wear them out a bit. DePaul is giving them a good game. It's 25-24 Nova right now with 1:38 left in the half. I'm watching the game on ESPN at work. Maybe DePaul does match up well against them, I hope so, because I'd much rather play the Demons tomorrow. Oh God Scottie Reynolds just hit a deep three. Nova up 4. We'll see if Depaul can hang.

28-26 Nova at the half...the battle is on.

So... if we should have to face 'Nova, based on today's game it looks like the key is just shut down Sumpter.... That said, go Depaul, go! The Hoyas were down at the half last time they played and Nova and look how that turned out

Nova has been rendered a two player team at this point...Sumpter and Reynolds are the whole offensive show at this point. Put Jessie on Reynolds all game and Summers on Sumpter and rotate in Ewing and Green and we've got them.
We play our game then we win.
I'd still rather play DePaul, but either way...

What in the hell was that pseudo "step" intro to the second half with the guys in timberlands, jeans and throw back jerseys? I mean, maybe if they had actually done any stepping rather than standing there awkwardly it would have been cool. I dunno...

These teams stink...It's funny that we even fear Nova.

I was hoping to jinx 'Nova, but I don't believe I have that power.

ESPN crew just speculated on whether Wainwright employs a three or five second rule if and when his gum falls out of his mouth. I love Raftery and Bilas.

According to the box score, 'Nova has played its starters the whole way. Sweet for the next team they face.

"You gotta SQUEEZE the APPLE." -- Raftery at 17:46 mark. Don't always understand him, but love him.

Raftery: Green is a "hidden gem", "class act", "plays perfectly within that system." Bilas: Green doesn't "have the numbers you would expect from a POY, but he does everything well and plays so controlled within the system."

nardi has been nothing but a detracting presence for Nova in our two games against them, so i am kind of bummed that we are probably not going to face much of him tomorrow.
as for reynolds, while he is a tremendous talent, i think he has the propensity to get out of control at times and act before he thinks...we need to force him into out-of-control drives and contested jumpers...he can and will be stopped by the Emergent One.
as for sumpter, he is a pretty good baller, but has no explosiveness playing with cadaver knees, so i am not worried about him either. even factoring in a couple of shane clark 3s from the corner, gtown should destroy this team.

Nova shoots so many threes. The last 5 shots have been threes. They have made one. Case closed.
Sheridan just picked up his third foul. Nova up 8.
Reynolds and Sumpter have been in the entire game. Good times.

I know these guys are in shape...but you would think that the up and down pace of this game will have to somewhat affect both teams tomorrow...
