830 start at Cap One Arena for this one is insane. The program is run by morons.

Positives are you can grab a casual meal pre-game and still arrive in plenty of time. You can also call plays because no one will be there. They should only make section 100 available for this game and just wall off half the stadium.

True, I enjoy being able to avoid rush hour when I attend sports events and I don’t need to worry about anyone blocking my view in the stands. So I can sit most of the game lol

Assuming that preseason scrimmages mean anything there is no excuse for the Hoyas not putting on a dominating performance in this game. Maryland beat this team by 34 points. Terps also played Marquette very tough. I am not a believer that these preseason scrimmages mean that much but it would be difficult to rationalize any outcome against Mt. St. Mary's other than a relatively comfortable victory.

Most of our starter's stats year to date, are the same than what they have done their career - to a large extent, "they are who we thought they were" so far. None of Epps/Burks/Peavy/Mack have a career track record of efficiency from 3 nor great assist/turnover numbers. We expect them to take a leap just because one more year, sophomore jump etc.
we also expect to see something change in terms of Cooley from a coaching impact perspective (the execution/accountability).
Will be very interested to see if this game can be a step up/in right direction. But def not having a better floor general and shooting will be tough if it holds as is. If so, it may just be more a year where the development (and retention) of a Sorber etc is the wins we celebrate.

If they don’t come out more focused and ready to compete and not throw up a bunch of force shots they will loose this game. They need to stop panicking after they get behind 6-8 points and play smart. Epps and Mack should be able to show some poise they are experienced players. Someone needs to be a leader. It’s like total panic mode set in against notre dame when they got down abou 6 they just panicked.cooley has to use more timeouts if need be. He sees the team start playing panic mode call timeout. They have to show some poise. I was expecting more with the improvements in talent. Hopefully it will come.

We played great vs Notre Dame last year without Epps and we saw what happened this year. If we don't plan on playing with Epps then we can put some more weight on that scrimmage but that isn't the case. We were losing vs UVA when they pulled their starters and Cooley didn't.

If you think the reason we lost against Notre Dame is Epps--when Mack was no better, and a bunch of other guys were worse than both of them--you're allowing your dislike of Epps to trump all else.

The thing that caught me a little off guard was the shortening of the rotation. Rite now, besides Sorber, I don’t think anyone should be guaranteed starting spots or guaranteed amount of minutes. The main thing is Cooley recruited these guys and HAS to make them fit. Watching Saturday, I thought Mack and Epps underachieved, why not give more time to Mulready, or McKenna or Williams. A couple of those guys are too 100 recruits, we are deep. I really thought we were gonna see a benching of the starting five again Saturday. Oh well, let’s pray we figure this out

I just made a point about taking past results and trying to make them mean something for the future is futile. Especially when they aren't eve real games. If you read my post you will know that Epps is not the only reason I thought we lost to ND. You will also know that I have been giving Mack more crap than Epps. You also can't ignore that our best win last year came without Epps though. I gave Epps praise the first two games while also pointing out I was worried exactly what happened in game 3 might happen. If he plays like he did last game things will be marginally but not significantly better this year. If he plays like he did in the first game there is a chance for reasonable improvement.
