The defense hasn't been great, but it's not like they're gonna hang 100 on us. We simply cannot score the ball. We've taken our fare share of bad shots, but we have also missed completely wide-open looks. Easy way to get run out of the gym.

A lot of short jumpers inside the paint and no defense to block… we need an enforcer… too many open shots

This one is on Cooley. He has just as much talent as Notre Dame, if not more. Any impact he has had on this game is invisible. The one advantage for certain ND has is a couple years with the same players. |

Epps is a disaster with the ball in his hands. Open players around him, two defenders on him and he is wasting all of it.

Gotta have shooters in todays game, it's that simple. You need 2-3 guys that can knock down open 3pt shots, or it will eventually lead to you playing from behind on most nights.

Liked that stroke from McKenna. A really good shooter with sweet mechanics. My understanding is that McKenna is more of a scorer than a shooter, but that stroke looked sweet. If he were ready to be a shooter, I think there would be a lot of minutes available. |

Well this result is much more embarrassing than my worst fears. No offense, poor defense. Have not seen a lack of effort and hoping that this is just an aberration. My real concern is what happens next. Is this just going to be an incredibly bad shooting team or can someone breakout? Defense? Seems to no longer be something this program can do. They have made Norte Dame look like an elite team. Hate to see these performances when the program is trying to get the fans back.
