Unlike what some would have you believe, it’s not just about the money. Most all of these programs are grants which could be transferred as block grants to the states/localities or perhaps administered by Treasury. As the great RFK said "some look at things the way they are and ask, Why? I dream things that never were and ask Why Not?" With the kind of fiscal mess the USA is in ($35 billion in debt etc.etc.) I think the repurposing of the Dept. of Education, is a Why not? Right. You have no idea what you’re talking about. The Treasury Department managing special needs education? It’s impossible to take you seriously.

I’ve heard pretty much the same thing tonight from 5 friends/relatives that are retired or active military.

This is dead on target and puts America in an incredibly vulnerable position.

Shocking. You vote for a corrupt conman to run the country and you get more and worse corruption. But some say “why not?!” Our children will likely not forgive us. We had a chance at one point to fix our direction. I think that window is closing.

Secretary of Defense seems like the one cabinet position that whatever is left of the GOP establishment might care enough about to spike Trump's nomination in the Senate. But of course he's not going to give the Senate a chance to weigh in, so . . .

Electing Thune, while a slight relief for what could have been in the alternative, underlines and bolds one thing for certain: Republican Senators are abject cowards. In a private vote, they reject the full MAGA-fication of the Senate. Had this been an open vote, we know Thune would not have won. I guarantee very few, if any, go on the record with their vote out of fear of retribution from Dear Leader and his droves of mindless MAGA dummies. Pathetic and spineless from top to bottom, but at least this one time in may have worked out better for the country.

How are his nominations getting worse? I didn’t think it was possible.

Clown show in full roar now. What little shred of moral compass may have been holding on was just ripped asunder.
