Whether you think Musk is a genius, a fraud, or both, you have to admit that he is far brighter than Trump (pretty low bar, in my opinion). Can't help but think he can manipulate Trump at will. Hell, just being a suck-up to Trump gets you pretty damn far, as his cabinet appointments are proving.

And keep in mind this is on top of yesterday's announcement that he wants to ditch the Senate confirmation process for his cabinet appointments. The authoritarian playbook come to life. Nice job, voters.

Most all of these programs are grants which could be transferred as block grants to the states/localities or perhaps administered by Treasury. As the great RFK said "some look at things the way they are and ask, Why? I dream things that never were and ask Why Not?" With the kind of fiscal mess the USA is in ($35 trillion in debt etc.etc.) I think the repurposing of the Dept. of Education, is a Why not?
