Credit to him for being glad to not just gun but he sometimes overdribbles and the ball stalls. It happened a few times last night that rather than make the easy wing entry he kept pounding it and trying to wait for the high post to open. It stifles all movement. That could be the play call though so I'll defer and give the kid a break. The D energy overall is much much better. Am likely one of Epps's most hardened critics, but gladly will concede that he's exerted a concerted effort to rein in his isolation heavy, call his own number proclivities on offense - the catch and shoot 3 (from a set position) via a Sorber assist is where his strength lies - and, yes, he doesn't possess a natural pass first mentality, but kudos for him for trying to revise his game, combatting ingrained tendencies and habits. His defense also is much improved as of late as well - no longer slipping under screens, but genuinely fighting over them with the ambition of harassing his opponent - he's not a lockdown defender by any means, but it definitely relieves the strain his teammates have to bear defensively if he's embraced accountability on that end. May his progress continues. I just hope that when the games are getting 'tighter' he doesn't revert back into old habits.

Watched the finish. I can see WVU's physically tough game giving us problems. Small is a problem. I'm interested to see how our defense holds up against a much better offense after our last two good showings against poor teams.
