I am usually a very optimistic guy in the off-season...
...BUT it's June 8th and with three guys able to play PF and C...
...we can't even run an inter squad scrimmage at this point...that's not good

His HS recruiting has been pretty good considering the product that has been on the floor the past few years and so far he retained those recruits. Small sample size of course. We will see where we are 12 months from now but prior to us he was a winning coach and last years results weren't good but he has shown he can win. |

Cooley made the NCAA tournament regularly at a program that arguably should be worse positioned than our program. That alone makes him "above average" compared to any reasonable definition of "average." Has Cooley been elite-level? No. But he's been a good coach, last year notwithstanding. Whether he'll be able to do the same thing or better at Georgetown remains an open question. But, the poster here has disliked Ed Cooley and thought he was a bad coach since well before Cooley was hired. This is nothing new for him. |
