Kadary in the portal. I would take him in a heartbeat but that ship probably sailed with our current commitments. Would love him, particularly from a backcourt size and defense standpoint. Room could be made - see Cook, Supreme.

Are Seton Hall and Butler boards blowing up at their coaches losing parts of their core?

Think he’s lost his juice, and with the new AD having replaced the football and hockey coaches in the past year, Gard’s absolutely on the hot seat.

Their boards are upset but understand what their coaches are up against But when a Georgetown player like Styles leaves for more NIL, that's not acceptable because we have a boatload of cash? I get it. There will always be an excuse to paint things in a negative light.

How do we know Styles left for more NIL? What evidence is there for that assertion? I think there were rumors there was an ask that was not met. If so, not mad at the decision by either party. There is an unofficial salary cap you have to work with and you need to think like Billy Bean to get the most out of your dollars.

Seems like a pro-Georgetown spin to say Styles left for more NIL, so that Cooley can't be blamed for losing a talented and productive player.

It’s kinda of a hoyaboya spin to slightly exaggerate a player who played the most minutes on the team but only totaled 26 assists for the season. He managed to rack up 49 turnovers which means his assist to turnover ration was horrid. He deserves credit for rebounding and blocking shots and hitting a healthy percentage of his shots. But he deserves some scorn for being so passive in far too many BE games when the team needed his scoring contributions. By the end of the season my mindset was that I wanted Styles eating up as few of Drew McKenna’s minutes as possible, and this was without McKenna having yet to play one minute of college ball. Would have been nice to have kept Styles around but I think the Hoyas have potential other “productive players” at their disposal.

The “grass is greener” approach… Looking at NC St for a quick second, their coach is sticking to his FF formula of reloading with upperclassmen from the portal. DS fits that strategy. As of now, they have just two freshmen coming in. NC St only has one scholarship available.

You can't use the term "rack up" when talking about a 33.5mpg player having 49 turnovers for the season. L. Henton is arguably Cooley's best player, he had 29 assists in 1257 minutes his senior year. It's the offense, not the non guards who play in it.

As opposed to your anti-Georgetown spin. “Wha, wha, who me?”
