"Jonathan Powell will not headed to Xavier after all. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard out of Centerville (OH) has requested to be released from his National Letter of Intent (NLI) to Xavier and will reopen his recruitment. The three-star senior committed to Sean Miller and the Musketeers in May of 2023 and signed his NLI during the earlier period in November. He ultimately chose Xavier over a final group of Clemson, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Virginia Tech. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Jonathan Powell is the No. 126 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle." www.on3.com/college/xavier-musketeers/news/xavier-3-star-sg-signee-jonathan-powell-requests-nli-release-from-musketeers/

"College basketball transfer portal team rankings: Indiana fights for No. 1, Duke rises in latest top 25 update The battle for the No. 1 spot at the top of the college basketball transfer portal team rankings remains close... 3. ST. JOHN'S RED STORM — 31.93 St. John's made two huge moves in the portal since the beginning of May to climb up the transfer team rankings. Head coach Rick Pitino and the Red Storm landed the No. 1 overall transfer prospect in former Seton Hall point guard Kadary Richmond just one day after it secured former Utah point guard Deivon Smith. Those additions vaulted St. John's into the top 5 of the transfer team rankings. Richmond earned First Team All-Big East honors last season while averaging 10.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Smith ranked sixth nationally among all Division I players with 7.1 assists per game." 247sports.com/college/transfer-portal/longformarticle/college-basketball-transfer-portal-team-rankings-indiana-fights-for-no-1-duke-rises-in-latest-top-25-update-231817496/#2420448

If you manually change the link from x.com to twitter.com, it will show the tweet: I don't think ProBoards knows what X is yet.

This really needs more attention. Ackerman is already fighting this fight, as noted above. It's absolutely absurd for the 5 football power conferences to only be taking 40% of the liability here, when they are responsible for much of the damage AND football players will be getting most of the payouts.
This is really total BS, especially considering that the so-called P5 schools have the resources to easily pay a bigger share. I don't know how much this will impact the one-bid type conferences, but I am image they are getting totally ripped too. And for what it's worth, the AAC took the football lineage from the Big East when the split happened, so there is zero merit to any argument that the Big East should take some of this because it used to have football.

[ /photo/1] 6 Big East teams Crazy that UConn is still number 2 after losing their entire starting lineup to the NBA. Maybe Karaban comes back. Keep on reloading.
