Most of corporate life doesn't have rules stating when recruits can & can't be contacted and that signed players are completely off-limits until they're in the transfer portal. Corporate life absolutely does have rules like this (noncompetes, use of phone systems, locking down company directories, etc). There's no laws around it, and no recruiter follows any of the rules, just like this. Kim is an obvious hypocrite here, and I have no idea why you're defending him.

Noncompetes, phone use, or locking down directories are all measures individual companies use to protect themselves, it's not in any way similar to the contact rules the NCAA has in place regarding recruiting. I'm not defending English, I'm pushing back against the misinformation you're putting out there. If you had stated Skinn's tweet was probably calling English out for things he did on the trail as an assistant, seeing that Skinn competed against English on the trail for years I wouldn't have responded but trying to tie it into Skinn complaining about Mason kids following him to PC doesn't add up IMHO... The same goes for the other tweet you posted.

I find it interesting that the "mercenary" Johnnies returned more players than Gtown after year 1 of the Cooley & Pitino tenures... Johnnies had better results and played to a far better home crowd.

I find it interesting that the "mercenary" Johnnies returned more players than Gtown after year 1 of the Cooley & Pitino tenures... When was the last time Cooley was seen out publicly with any of his players? What opportunity for what major event was there for this? Are the Wizards playing home court games in the playoffs? Truth is there is very little time for this when the players are in the school year, so you can do it either before the season of hoops or after everything is over. Cooley took the players to a Drake concert during the fall and a trip to one of the countless buildings on the National Mall. Pitino did some early stuff with his guys too. Now he gets a golden chance to put himself and his program in more of the spotlight by being present for the cameras at the Mecca for a Knicks playoff game. Good for him. It makes sense from a recruiting standpoint. Why compare everything he and Cooley do though?

How do you enter the portal when you are out of eligibility? Must think he is gonna win that case.

I like how they have Starters lost to the portal: none. Like they actually will have any starters to lose to the portal. Maybe Karaban will come back if they are lucky so they may have had one they could have lost to the portal but that is still doubtful.

How do you enter the portal when you are out of eligibility? Must think he is gonna win that case. Actually, if I were representing Ludlum in the litigation this is exactly what I'd advise him to do. It puts NCAA in a position of denying him entrance into the portal which may be of evidentiary value in his lawsuit. No downside for him especially if NCAA attempted to argue that he had no standing since, as I understand it, he hadn't yet attempted to enter the portal but was suing over the stated policy as violation of the NY causes of action based upon antitrust and NIL statutes. By attempting to enter the portal and being denied, he has concrete facts to support him, and it is a case or controversy, not merely a hypothetical.

Great news for our league. Who among Fielder/Sorber/Stewart is going to guard him?

Great news for our league. Who among Fielder/Sorber/Stewart is going to guard him? It should be a team effort. If the guards & wings can harass the ball handlers enough that alone will lessen RK's ability to punish opponents. With that being said I'd say Stewart would have the easier time due to his strength & quickness. However on the other end, his inability to stretch the floor even to the 15-foot range will leave RK free to guard the paint which will lessen the effectiveness of Epps & Mack.

Back to back NC's and they're still pumping out content for their fans. It's not hard to do.

It's crazy that SH had 9 coming off an NIT run but it's even crazier to see Marquette put up another zero, folks have to give their staff a lot of credit for the loyalty the players have for the program.

"WINNER: CREIGHTON BLUEJAYS The market for big men in the transfer portal has been absolutely insane. The likes of Cliff Omoruyi, Jonas Aidoo, Norchad Omier, Great Osobor, Brandon Garrison, Vlad Goldin and Oumar Ballo have not been cheap free agents. Ryan Kalkbrenner is arguably better than all of them, and he could have cashed in if he hit the open market. But Kalkbrenner announced Wednesday that he will return to Creighton for one last season. The 7-foot-1, 270-pound center will go for his fourth (!!) Big East Defensive Player of the Year award. He's solidified himself as one of the best-ever players to don the Creighton uniform. His legacy was already stamped, but a Year 5 only solidifies Kalkbrenner as one of the all-timers at Creighton. Kalkbrenner, the king of verticality, is an elite rim protector who also averaged 17.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. He's a monster. And he isn't going anywhere. LOSER: SETON HALL PIRATES Seton Hall will reload because Shaheen Holloway is a good coach who scouts the portal very well, but it's still been a painful stretch for the Pirates after winning the NIT Championship. Star guard Kadary Richmond hit the transfer portal less than a week before the deadline and has quickly become one of the most sought-after players in the country. Dre Davis, an uber-productive matchup nightmare, transferred to Ole Miss. Dylan Addae-Wusu is also leaving along with a host of other pieces. Seton Hall has six open scholarships and major holes to fill after its alphas dipped. It's a brutal business." 247sports.com/longformarticle/oregon-unc-iowa-headline-college-basketball-transfer-portal-deadline-retention-winners-losers-231218138/#2415199
