Pretty sad when you have to stoop to criticizing the quality of the kids’s dunks to get your negative jab in.

Rowan highlights don’t start until 2:08 Zero defense being played in that exhibition game, hard to pull much out of those highlights other than Brumbaugh can barely dunk. Fortunately, athleticism is not a big part of his game driving his success. Good Lord, how miserable are you?. I didn't post that video link to please you or provide you with some new insight on how the kid plays. I posted it because there is such little content online of Rowan in the first place and because its always cool to see any highlights of incoming players and/or committed recruits. The value a viewer gets out of it is simply from that standpoint, not every video is going to give you an extended overview of a player's game. Besides if there was such a video out there of, say, Rowan playing with his high school team you would interject and tell us how based upon the competition there would be noting we could take away from the video footage. No defense in the clips you say? Why, thank you, Sherlock. We would not have known that without your input. That was never what that event has ever been about. Its a glorified pickup game narrated by a DJ in which guys suit up to put on a show. No one expects Game 7 intensity. What I thought would interest people is that the event nonetheless manages to bring in elite talent every year and it was cool that Rowan was actually invited. He wasn't a starter but he was on the court. I'm pretty sure he looked at it as a cool badge of honor which would also be fun, otherwise he wouldn't have shown up. If only he knew he would wound up disappointing some Hoya fans down the road by participating in an event such lacking in fundamentals that they would not be able to discern any of his capabilities. For the record while I have read reports of Rowan dunking before I have never seen it with my own eyes. His lift is perfectly acceptable. No one was ever expecting him to be Zion.

Kind of surprised he's not getting more lift, but agreed that the base form is good and he's got excellent size, so lift on the jumper may not mean as much as it would for shorter PGs.

He has the rep of being a very good shooter. At the very least if you leave him open he’ll punish the defense. For the vast majority of my time following this program, that has not been the case.

yeah after years of seeing him drill jumpers on youtube on DC heat's channel, I'm not worried about that, he is a decent shooter, especially the mid range pull up off the dribble.

The Primo special Apologize if this wasn’t meant as a shot at the kid. He hasn’t played a minute and he’s being compared to an all time terrible hoya. I love his game think he’s going to be our starting pg this year.

Still amazed by desire of many here to trash Primo. He did what Ewing wanted him to do…or he wouldn’t have played 38 minutes a game. Quite Far from our best pg ever, but I felt he played hard, had a very good midrange game and had a solid handle. Without trashing others, we’ve had less talented point guards than Primo.
