Perhaps the “Professor” should focus on Ewing graduation rates. Isn’t this important in academia … along with BS wokism.

Is there any doubt that a team made up of the players who transferred last year plus Mutombo, Bass and Anglin with a competent head coach would beat this group by double digits?

Is there any doubt that a team made up of the players who transferred last year plus Mutombo, Bass and Anglin with a competent head coach would beat this group by double digits? We lost to American and needed OT to beat Coppin State. I’m pretty sure any collection of eight D-1 players with a competent coach would have a chance to beat us by double digits. |

Carey had hit almost 200 three-pointers — making them at a clip of nearly 40 percent — during the four college seasons he played before transferring to Maryland. The problem? Those shots, the ones he made for years, stopped falling. Carey started the season with several quiet games, then broke through in the wins over Saint Louis and Miami in the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament. Comment of a Terp fan on Carey. Terps were 3/22 from 3 in the loss to Michigan State.
"The next time Willard starts Carey he should be fired on the spot. Martinez should replace him as the starter effective immediately. Enough with that experiment. Give Bachelor and Emilien more time. And as others have noted, this team clearly has no business trying more than a handful of 3’s in any game going forward. This has to be the worst oitside shooting team in MD history and it’s probably not even close. And at least for me the jury is still out on JuJu. How long is “he’s young” a valid argument?"

I don't begrudge Carey for leaving but I find it sad that his last year of collegiate ball isn't working out as perhaps he expected. |

What makes Carey’s situation even crazier is that he is used to moving around to different schools so it wasn’t like he was uprooted from a long term home and now adapting for the first time
