This is smart not to burn bridges, but actions speak louder than words. Agree here. It’s as simple as if you’re handing the reins to Primo, I’m out.

Can’t help but have a serious coulda woulda shoulda feel about that kid. We’ll never know the details but one of the biggest problems w Coach Pat is the gaps that DH and others fell through. Coaches get big bucks to keep that from happening. This is important to note from Dante Harris: He maintained a strong relationship with Ewing, who he still keeps in touch with and affectionately refers to as “Coach Pat.” “Coach Ewing was really, really positive for him and he was there for him,” Staples said. “He never said anything negative about him and never turned his back on him. It was kind of an odd breakup because both sides didn’t have anything bad to say about one another. Just makes it worse that we can’t keep folks around even when we have strong relationships

Southeast Missouri State is one of the first teams to punch a ticket to the NCAA. That should mean Kobe Clark is going dancing, but game logs show he hasn’t played in a month and a half. Maybe injury?

Looks like Carey is heating up just at the right time. Kind of crazy that he is in his sixth year of NCAAB though. When Maryland added Carey to its roster in the offseason, he had a history of being a prolific three-point shooter. But with the Terps, he has struggled to find consistency. Willard remained committed to Carey, who is in his sixth season of college basketball, and the veteran has begun to reward that confidence. With 11 points in the win over Minnesota, Carey reached double figures for the fifth straight game. Before this strong stretch, he had only twice delivered back-to-back outings with at least 10 points. Against the Gophers, he made 3 of 7 shots from three-point range; he has shot 48.1 percent from beyond the arc during this five-game spurt.Carey’s production helped make up for Young’s quiet start. Young, the Terps’ best player and leading scorer, missed his first seven attempts, including several layups, before he broke through with a basket with 11:45 remaining. Young’s late burst helped him finish with 15 points on 3-for-13 shooting. www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/03/09/maryland-minnesota-big-ten-tournament/

Delaware Blue Coats win G League championship. Tale of 2 former Hoyas, McClung with 30/8/4 and Aminu in the trillion club Box Score Not knocking the kid, as his rating wasn’t his doing, but he has to be one of the least successful 5* / McD’s AA kids in recent memory. I know Ewing did him no favors for his development, but his HS rankings were pretty inflated in hindsight. His competition might have made him a tougher evaluation. Seems he would have been better served staying in college, even if that meant going to another program. If he can’t get minutes in the G League now, it’s probably not going to work out at that level ever. It’s too bad, as he seems like a really solid kid, but maybe he was given bad advice (including coming here to play for Ewing) along the way.
