Unconscionable that it took this long.

[Unconscionable that it took this long. Separation of powers makes this unlikely. That, and it's not getting out of the Senate. "Distinct from this separation-of-powers issue is the question of whether Congress may authorize the Judicial Conference—which is composed almost entirely of judges from the inferior federal courts—to promulgate ethical rules to govern Justices on the High Court. The Constitution explicitly contemplates that the Supreme Court will remain “supreme” over any “inferior” courts that “Congress may from time to time ordain and establish,” such as the federal district and appellate courts. Some observers have therefore suggested that it would be unconstitutional, or at least inappropriate, for the Judicial Conference to make rules for the Supreme Court. As one example, Senior Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy has stated that it would raise a “legal problem” and would be “structurally unprecedented for district and circuit judges to make rules that Supreme Court judges have to follow.” sgp.fas.org/crs/misc/LSB10255.pdf

Unconscionable that it took this long. What's truly unconscionable is that the Court appears to be doing nothing about this.

If Chief Justice Roberts had the cojones he'd sit Justice Thomas down and all but order him to recuse himself from cases related to the MAGA GOP insurrection that may reach the Court.

And I would add that there is no excuse whatsoever for his not doing this. It's an outrage that the draft opinion relating to Roe was released, but this is somehow ok, and can be ignored??

Any comments on foiled attempt to murder Justice Kavanaugh? And Senator Schumer's rhetoric several months ago?

Sure. This sums it up for me.
Where was the outrage when somebody was foiled in their attempt to kill Tony Fauci, just to name one other.u
Of course we shouldn’t condone violence about words, but then again many seem to want to write a free pass for someone willing to send others into the Capitol to kill people just because he lost a fair election. And don’t try to tell me that wasn’t part of the deal.
