He'll take Nike money for one year and NBA money after the One+Done, end up way ahead.

There are two small forwards (Montavious Murphy - Kansas State, Dudley Blackwell - Iowa State) in the portal looking for new homes. Does anyone know how good these guys are? Perhaps the staff should really consider giving these guys a look before it is too late and they get snatched by other schools.

Looking at the way NIL superstars DJ Uiagalelei and Graham Mertz have mentally collapsed and crippled their teams chances of making the BCS playoffs one has to wonder if team NIL is better than individual NIL (that isn't being shared equally with the rest of the team), especially at the QB position.

It’s kinda ridiculous the money being spent in college football. All so some wealthy alums can have bragging rights over their other wealthy buddies? Basketball is far from perfect, but it hasn’t reached this level yet. This doesn’t feel sustainable…

He has two homes in Norman? The mind boggles. 52 to 48 football comes to SoCal.

Nice to see Notre Dame and Oklahoma becoming stepping stone schools to illustrate how absurd the system has become.

Why do you think their NIL deals have something to do with their performance, or are you looking at it from the brands perspective not the kids?

Why do you think their NIL deals have something to do with their performance, or are you looking at it from the brands perspective not the kids? I think from both perspectives. There have been a bunch of articles on the corporate sponsor side where they acknowledge that DJ Uiagalelei's Dr. Pepper deal was a huge mistake which won't be repeated again. QB is a unique position where mentally and emotionally if you aren't at your best the results can be horrible for the enitre team. I think the added pressure got to DJ and especially Mertz (who was actively seeking NIL and spending alot of time on it). They both performed extremely poorly compared to the non NIL season. Mertz doubled his interception total with no increase TDs.

Shocked. Just shocked. No matter how much freedom, how many financial opportunities - players will want more, programs will offer more, rules will mean little or nothing.

None of this is surprising. This is a direct consequence of allowing transfers without having to sit a year. It’s good for player freedom but bad in just about every other respect.
