From Colorado board: "Bad luck for the Buffs. Georgetown is playing well right now. That program is on the rise. Didn't know Biles lived in Denver, why didn't we recruit him. Biles in a stud, he can outjump anyone. I fear for the Buffs. But anything can happen if there is a good plan. I am sad to say I will be picking Georgetown in the first round. I want to win my bracket. I hope I am wrong."

Just remember all of Colorados metrics are inflated because of their huge home court advantage with the altitude.

So happy to NEEDto watch the selection Sunday show again. I love the nervous excitement. A few thoughts
1. I’m surprised we were not one of the live teams. Would have been nice to see the boys excited.
2. What’s wrong with Greg Gumbal, he really looks like crap.
3. I didn’t want to be in a Gonzaga’s or Illinois bracket so I was happy there.
4. Unfort I think Michigan is so good, Dickenson is one of the best frosh centers if seen in awhile. I don’t think we can beat Michigan.
5. I like our opening round game and even getting to the sweet 16, if we can keep the same defensive intensity.
6. Nice to see NO DUKE, UNC as an 8 seed and NO Kentucky. The mighty have really fallen.
Teams that can win it all.
Michigan Ohio state Illinois Zags Baylor Alabama
Quick exit
Nova
Go hoyas

First reactions, will have to watch game highlights to get a sense of actual scheme but on paper I think there's a decent amount to like: - You'd want their best offensive player to either be PG or PF to line up w Dante or Pickett as best defenders instead of dealing with like a 6'5 wing. Enter McKinley Wright. Just from following NBA stuff his name gets mentioned but he's the engine of their offense, go to work Dante
- Slow pace, not a team that presses and forces a ton of turnovers. So we can try and push pace if we want to get them uncomfortable, or we can play slow and conserve energy and save bench
- No center who is a big perimeter threat to stretch out Q. Walton is 8-18, which is something but clearly not a huge part of his game. Curious to see what they do when he's off the court because he's the only guy over 6'8 and he hasn't played more than 20 min in a game all season.
- Yes they're a good FT shooting team % wise, but they don't get to the line a ton so that mitigates the concern a bit.
- Low in blocked shots so not expecting a ton of rim protection
So as others have mentioned, between Tennessee and Colorado I think this was preferred. Personally I wanted no part of a Florida St draw (in my mind they're UConn on steroids) but will cross that bridge later on. Would think the spread starts at 5 and gets bet down as we'll be trendy.
And I even can get behind the Saturday to get some extra rest after the 4 in 4 days.
Don't fall into the hype, come out focused, take care of business.
They play Evan Battey. He's undersized but he can score it down there. Yup definitely crafty. Can get people in foul trouble.

Wahab won't be scared of Dickinson, he has played him enough in prep I'm assuming.

He looks heavy but he has good feet and can put it on the deck also. Have to give him space and not go for all his jukes and pump fakes but he's a tough kid. Competes hard.

How does he compare to JRE and Dixon? Alot like Dixon but better touch. More rotund too. He looks slow but he is nimble for a big guy.

Watched half of a game already of Colorado and the main problem I see them giving us is that they are all a bunch of 6-6 to 6-7 athletes because the 6-7 center who is more girth than length. They challenge a bunch of shots but no rim protection and they can be had on the boards. Curious- where are you finding replays? YouTube has a lot of long highlight stretches of their games if you dig a little.

I like Michigan this year, I always enjoyed the fab 5, I was in high school during there run so I want Juan Howard to succeed. I hope we get to play them. It’s all I can ask right.

Just from a brief glance Battey has some skill, can dribble but his conditioning looks really bad. I think we can either get him in foul trouble or run him off the court.

Really hate to be hyped as the most likely upset winner. Prefer to have this team continue to play with a chip on its shoulder, but this is going to be a good matchup against a good shooting team. Colorado looked pretty good to me but I have a West Coast bias. My SDSU Aztecs play the Orange so it should be a hell of a week. Beat a good USC team 3 times.

Too many people are picking us!! I don't like it!!! I don't think it makes a difference compared to previous years because the team has a chip on their shoulder and is out to prove something. It's not like past years where we were a top 25 team for most of the season and could come in overconfident.
