For the record, I saw a jump shot in the senior year highlights vs. the junior year highlights. I dont' know what the percentages were.

yeah and he has really good form, thats why i wouldnt go with Jones as the comparison. Jones couldnt hit a shot outside of 12 feet even as a college senior and was a terrible FT shooter if I remember. Collin has perfect form on his shot, and hits 3s. Also I'm willing to bet Collin is a lefty writing even tho he shoots with his right.
Edit: Yeah Jones shot 1-4 on 3s his entire career, and shot 59.5 from the line.

Also see that Emaeryon McDonald that we are recruiting plays in that same division of Louisiana basketball, and lost in the Semis.

Collin Holloway reminds me of Weslely Unseld. The kid is built like Unseld and Barkley. He's good speed for a man his size, very good athleticism, a soft touch on his outside shot, a terrific rebounder, a great slasher who finishes extremely well. He's going to be a big load for Big East rivals. I predict Collin Holloway is going to become a star with the potential to play the perimeter at any position. His handles are excellent, he's ambidextrous and he's very, very strong. GU is lucky to have this kid. I don't LeBlanc is half the player that Holloway is. Just my opinion. I think GU has a great recruiting class overall with Tyler Beard, Dante Harris, Kobe Clark, Jamari Sibley and the others. This team is going to surprise a lot of people! Good for Coach Ewing. I wish him the best luck in light of the terrible misfortunes he has heroically confronted. He's a good man and will prevail.

Let's pick the one guy who was an effective despite having a broke jumper as who he is similar to and not all of the other guys with broke jumpers who weren't good because they can't shoot. I watched his videos where everyone is supposed to look good. He is playing terrible comp and doesn't really stand out. He doesn't look like a Big East talent and that's why he's ranked where he is. I disagree.

The previous set of comments was wholly unrelated to Collin Holloway and was moved to a new thread.

Now I know where I know Holloway. When Covid-19 hit, ESPN showed some high school championship games. There was a game in an empty arena. Rayville was the favored team (they won the last two championships), but they played Port Allen and there was one player they could not stop. The sound wasn't up and I couldn't hear his name, but it was Holloway (#0)...player!!!
If it has already been stated or shown, no disrespect intended.

It’s good to be the tallest player on the court at 6’5”/6’6”/6’7” (his reported heights).

Collin is only 1 inch taller than the kid guarding him. Not much height advantage...

I think Collin has all the skills and physical tools but his adjustment will be the competition level, watching his videos, it seemed to be low level competition.

Still, it will be a huge adjustment to the BE or playing Kansas, the Syracuse zone, etc... we will see next year. Go get them, Collin. He seems to have a lot of different offensive moves. That low layup with his left arm extended to the side while shielding the defender with his body is very hard to stop.

Yeah, I love the way Collins plays. I like all of his offensive moves and the fact that he's always trying to get to the basket. Once he's down near the basket, it's hard to stop him cause you don't know what way he's going to shoot the ball. He's got so many moves down low.

I remember saying the same thing about Bey from Villanova’s high school film I remember watching some of the videos of Bey and I thought good player in the BE, eventually, but I never thought he was this good. He's been a Hoya Killa, I know Jay Wright wishes he would stay.

Playing below the rim and knows how to use his body. 6'6" but broad. Very interested to see how Coach uses him in this system.

Leblanc had a motor, length and athleticism which is basically the weaknesses of Collin. If you could merge those attributes with Collin’s skill, he would be a lottery pick.

I know it was garbage points but for the last 5 minutes or so I was really impressed with his play. I think he ended with 7 points a steal a couple boards and an assist. He scored all on drives to the hole and with his left hand which I'm sure UConn hadn't accounted for. Excited to see more of him next season.
