So let's get to 9-9 and go from there.

Just saw the ticket prices on StubHub. There are tickets for as little as $6. There's no reason there shouldn't be 10,000 fans there

Providence has split with every Big East foe they’ve played twice. Let’s hope that trend holds.*
*Until Wednesday; after that they can lose the rest.

A big key to Providence's win against Seton Hall was Diallo's 5-5 explosion from the 3-Point line. A big key to the Hoyas' win against Butler was the team's 10-15 explosion from the 3-point line.
On the season, however, Providence shoots 31.8% from 3 and we shoot 35%. Even after the Seton Hall eruption, Diallo is only shooting 29.4% from 3. Shockingly, Diallo has dropped down to 58.8% on FTs (down from mid-70s in first 2 seasons).
So, a big key to the Providence game will be for the Hoyas to defend that 3-point line effectively (keep them in that 30-35% season average range) and knock down our share (a good game for us will be in that 35-40% range), and we will have done a great job.
I also think Omer can get points against Providence. A lot of points. We need him back and effective.

The key is keeping PC off the glass. They rebound an amazing (to me anyway) 35% of their missed shots. They had 20 offensive rebounds against the Hall and won despite shooting 36% for the game.

I say this only half jokingly, but they are such a poor shooting team that they inadvertently create rebounding chances for themselves.

Diallo makes PC good when they are good. Assuming it will be Jamarko on him? If so, this is a huge game for Pickett. He can do it!

True, but by that logic they also create opportunities for defensive rebounds. So ignore the total number and look at the percent. In the SHU game they rebounded 20 of 38 misses.

Hopefully precautionary, otherwise Pat might have to suit up.

Having sprained my ankle about a hundred times,if you’re in a boot, would seem doubtful you’re playing the next day. Not good news. Just unbelievable.

Of course, at this point they may just be standard issue for anyone on the team.

Yikes!! That would be horrible for Q. He has made such huge strides as the year has progressed. Earlier in the year he had some good games/moments but was inconsistent and you really only wanted to see him for short minutes to give Yurt some rest. As the year has moved along he has really improved to where he is now a major contributor that I want to see on the floor as much as possible. He is that "rim protector" that Ewing has been looking for, for a while now. His offense has also really improved as he now really only plays to his strengths. Earlier it almost seemed like the game plan was to give him the ball in the post as much as possible and now they seem to pick there spots much better. Hopefully he doesn't miss any games, or if he does, it not for too long.
