It may not be pretty. It may be ugly, in fact. But these guys play hard, each and every game. Imagine what they could do with a couple of additional players on the roster, ready to contribute. Oh, by the way...maybe this guy Ewing can in fact coach a little. I've turned in to a Patrick post game presser junkie, as he cuts to the chase with what is good, who gets kudos, and what needs work. He is getting a ton out of his players and the second half turn arounds say a lot about coaching in the locker room.

Hat tip to DFW HOYA, who was in the house all the way from Texas today. Did he spend the whole game going around the arena to count actual attendance? I kid, I kid!!

Wilson's father passed away, which is why he has been missing. He will be back on campus this week. Condolences to the young man and his family.

In a way, losing Yurt helped us down the stretch. Q's defense really made a big difference and offset Yurt's offense. As I said before Butler game, PE has a whole week to figure out a way to use them both (assuming Yurt is just and ankle sprain). Doing so keeps Pickett on the bench where he belongs. Also, play Blair, Mac, and Allen with Mosley off the bench. Jagan deserves a rest.

The future looks bright! We will have to soon call him Mr. Wahab! Awesome job! And awesome job to the whole team for hanging in there and getting the win.

Under the circumstances, that’s about as good as it gets. What an effort, and that’s the best atmosphere at a game in so long. Agree regarding atmosphere. After the Blair breakaway layup that was as loud as it has been this year by far.

Also, play Blair, Mac, and Allen with Mosley off the bench. Jagan deserves a rest. Yurt and Wahab playing together works on offense as it allows Yurt to play out a bit more. On defense it has been more of a problem as neither defend out well, but it stops inside play and mid range shots. Defensively the Yurtseven, Q, and Pickett back line defends rather well if the other team is playing with two low wings or trying to drive, as well as rebounding. Offensively Pickett, Q, and Yurt is a bit of a middle clogging and shooting mess. Mosely is the glue and Hoya's best defender by a long shot. He deserves and badly needs a rest, but...

Good game. Fun game. I think it's hilarious how the Ewing theory is coming through for this team. It wasn't against an elite opponent, but this team showed something. I'm still worried about the inbound plays (No screens? ) but overall, I thought this game went well. The guys have a very well earned week off. And George Muresan coming up clutch. The bailout cut to the ball, the ability to come in off the bench, playing no minutes and knock-in two game-winning free throws. Who would've thought? Ad Jahvon Blair came up huge. Great second half for our guys and DePaul being DePaul didn't hurt at all.

Great perseverance. Blair and Wahab were amazing today. PE coached a good game and mixed in some zone and token pressure in the second half. Hoya Saxa.
Hopefully Yurt and Mac can go next week and we keep moving the ball.

I'm no doctor, but is anyone else confused by this? Seems like the two statements cannot both be true.

I wish this team could figure out how to not crap the bed in the first half, but the grit they have shown can't be questioned, particularly not only following the loss of Mac, but now Yurt7 as well. I also don't want to see any more criticism of Blair on this board. He was huge today, just as he was against St. John's. He really deserves to start, but if he starts once Mac is back, who sits? We're not going to start 4 guards.
