Time to take only good shots, move the ball, box out and build and maintain an early lead. Time to get back in the W column on home court.

Worried that coming back most of the way against #12 Seton Hall will make the players think they can turn it on and off against a lesser Depaul team. Come out with intensity.

If fellas grind for 40 minutes....we have a chance here. Allen needs to stay aggressive. I like it when he looks for his three...I specially if Mosely and Pickett are off.

Paul Reed is a horrible matchup for this Hoyas team. Easily the worst matchup in the Big East for our team. A long, athletic, complete big man at a position where we don't have one is a horrible matchup. He's not the best player and may not produce a 34 point game as Powell did, but he's the worse matchup. Come out early, keep up the pressure and beat this DePaul team. Earn that one week off.

Still likely among the ten or so teams jockeying for the last few spots. Win and we continue to keep things interesting going into Butler and Privy. Lose? Well, then we are in 'need a miracle' territory.

Need this win. They play crazy and unorganized, but we can't let that rub off on us

Custer's last stand here. Hard to see this team pulling out 8-10 without sweeping Depaul.

I agree that Pickett should be able to match up and compete with Reed. I think Reed does pretty much everything better than Pickett (defends, block shots, rebounds and scores) but physically they are comparable in many ways. They both have good length and are decent athletes. Reed has just developed his skills better than Pickett to this point. I would be surprised if Pickett outplayed Reed in this game, but I think he should see this matchup as a challenge and hopefully can step up and make Reed work hard for everything he gets. If you can limit Reed's effectiveness you should be in a good position to beat DePaul.

I'd say Paul Reed is Jamorko Pickett+ Josh LeBlanc on the basketball floor. That's why it's a horrible match up. He's taller, quicker, jumps higher, shoots better, plays with more confidence, defends better, has that edge and everything at the one position which Georgetown has only one guy (forward) or none depending on how you look at it (PF). Howard is a bad matchup because he's so talented. Same for Powell. Reed is a bad matchup because he's talented and does everything well that Georgetown at that position doesn't do too well, while being very good at basketball.

Need someone to step up in this game and score. Going to be difficult for Yurtseven with Reed very active inside. Hoyas need an outside threat and while Mosley has the best percentage from 3 he does not shoot enough. For all the grief Pickett has taken for his poor shooting lately, his percentage from 3 is virtually the same as Blair and better than McClung or Allen. One of these guys needs to come alive at the outset and hit some shots to open things up for Yurtseven. I have watched DePaul all year and think that their talent is so much better than their record. I do not believe that their coach has utilized his kids well, but they are more than capable of blowing out the Hoyas if they get started on offense.

Ewing's past statement that he wants his guys to "step into their shot" when they are open is apt. To me, it means taking a good shot when it is open, but also taking shots with proper footwork and form. If you're putting up an off balance shot in the first 10 seconds of the shot clock and not the last 5, 90+% chance it is not a good shot. It also implies active on ball and off the ball movement.

Someone from the Gate City area said that he's heard that Mac is unlikely to play tomorrow. Talking to people who were near the bench last Wednesday night feeling is no way Mac can play tomorrow.
