I don't anticipate a lot of griping about minutes now.

It's hard to say "next man up" when there's no one left to respond. Nonetheless, the bandage just got ripped off of the wound...and that may not be such a bad thing. We've been fearing the other shoe dropping; now that's it's dropped, it's time to move forward. Can't do anything worse to this team than has already been done.

I am not going to comment on the transfers directly, but it is sad that we have 4 in-season transfers. Rather, I am going to focus on the consequences. Yes, Ewing is not fully responsible for his players' misconduct. But, Ewing is directly responsible for shepherding the program forward, and in this sense he has failed and that is his responsibility.
This is a major problem going forward. Our scholarship roster for next year consists of freshmen Dante Harris and Sibley (assuming they enroll), Jahvon Blair, Pickett, McClung, Timothy Ighoefe, Malcom Wilson, and Wahab. That's only 8 guys, 3 of whom are centers.
I think we will be okay this year, but the roster going forward is a complete disaster. I know that people thought we were in dire straights at the end of the JT3 era, but this is clearly worse. We can barely field a team of 5 guys next year, we are essentially rebuilding from scratch again, and it's incredibly difficult seeing how this team could make the tournament (again, not including this year) for at least a few more years.
It is a very sad state of affairs, but it is hard to be optimistic as a Hoyas fan.

If this happens, it is hard to see Ewing surviving, be it because he's gone immediately, or because he can't field a competitive team and gets canned as a result after Hoyas' fans are sick of being bad for years.

What about our two commits for next year? Anyone else on the team? I appreciate your optimism though but don't have any myself.

Maybe it's time to accept where we are and try this rebuilding process over again without someone in the family.

Ouch! That really gets a Hoya fan right in the guts. You have to trust the system.

Doesn't matter until the LOI is signed. When I speak of nothing worse happening to this team, I'm referring to the 2019-2020 edition of the Hoyas, not some future roster. That's not optimism, merely realism. If you really knew me, you'd know that I am, at best, a cheerful skeptic.

Galen Alexander just apparently tweeted out an attack on one of the accusers by name. I'm not linking to it because it names her. How does that not violate whatever order that was agreed on yesterday?

Are we headed for the glory days of the late 90’s where walk-ons like Dean Berry, Gharun Hester, Damien Bolden, and Trent Hillier get tons of minutes? That would be great. At least Hester hit that clutch 3 against Virginia in the NIT. If they weren’t all walk-ons and I am misremembering, I apologize. Those were dark times that I have not thought about in awhile.

And even if it doesnt go any further, it's pretty far down.

That said, he could probably submit for a waiver from the NCAA if he really wanted to, saying that the chaos in the Georgetown program wasn't clear when he signed, but became clear only a few weeks later. Sibley committed after National Signing Day, so I think he's just a verbal and can open things up any time.

Not sure I follow. My apologies if you feel attacked. I felt like I was commenting against the position you were taking (this is the bottom) vs attacking you personally.
