Odd that they both decide to transfer at the exact same time.

What a mess!! Have to think some type of decision from the school prompted this decision. Maybe the school told them that their "investigation" was completed and that they were both going to be suspended and they both decided to transfer instead.

Those who wanted to see a 2-3 zone with Wilson, Tim and Yurt might get their wish.

Well that's a wrap. Not certain I can recall four players leaving voluntarily a program at the semester break. As frustrated as I am, however, I am not able to assign blame to the University without some inkling of what it was doing. I guess it is possible that the University could have been more aggressive in reminding the media that players are innocent until proven otherwise, but I do not know how they could have commented on the merits without running afoul of privacy issues.

Well that scholarship crunch for next year eased up. We just need the core left to put together an NCAA campaign, not get hurt, not get in foul trouble, and back fill in the spring with minutes to spare for 20/21.

Well an argument can be made that it's good that all the players named are now no longer on the team. Gonna be hard to compete though on the court. Hopefully Wilson is ready to contribute at a high level.

The university and basketball program were caught in bad position. They couldn't publicly defend the players for legal reasons or allow the players to say anything either while the media ran wild in many cases falsely accusing the players of heinous crimes, later finding out they were just accusations in a TRO and never correcting the record.
I can understand the players (Gardner & Alexander) frustration & anger as their name and reputations were being dragged through the gutter and feeling like their school and team didn't have their back publicly. It's a tough predicament for the school/basketball program and all the students involved...

Getting hard to support / defend the university and this coaching staff. No matter what the kids did this whole thing is pretty unprecedented and embarrassing. I've been a die hard fan since I could walk but I've had enough. Going to show up tomorrow to support the current players but I think someone needs to be held accountable here (AD / Coach)

We don't have the facts, so I have no idea why and how and who is at fault. You have to admit that the University and program were in a tough spot. In today's environment, there is very little that could be said in support of the players that wouldn't lead to outrage. Look at the faculty letter released today as Exhibit 1.
