Class of 2023 point guard Josh Hubbard was very consistent this past weekend for Team Thad. The Mississippi native averaged 16 points per game over a four game stretch, and many college coaches were sitting courtside throughout the course of the weekend. Programs involved: “Right now, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Houston, Georgetown, Seton Hall just offered today (Saturday), Jackson State, and Mississippi Valley State.” Georgetown: “The old coach at LSU, he went to Georgetown. He told coach (Patrick) Ewing about me and they came to a game in the first session in Orlando and liked what they saw.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/josh-hubbard-s-recruitment-expanding-beyond-southeast-region

2023 Michael Nwoko came into North Carolina over a year ago and the big, physical forward quickly made his mark in the state as one of the top big men in his class in the state. From then on, he not only was able to secure a state title at The Burlington School but he also has seen his recruitment skyrocket over the last year. Phenom: You have added a few new offers recently. One big one was Georgetown. How was that getting that offer, what all do you know or stand out about the program, and who has been your main contact from them? What kind of relationship have you built? Nwoko: Getting that Georgetown offer was a big thing for me. I felt like I personally have worked to get where I am now. I have been in contact with Coach Pat. As time goes, I and the Georgetown staff hope to build a better bond. Phenom: You also added offers from Creighton and North Carolina A&T. What are your thoughts on those programs and what did they have to say they liked about your game? Nwoko: Getting offers from them was great, they love my game and love how hard I play day in and day out. Phenom: You have also earned offers from High Point, Providence, Old Dominion, Elon, USF, East Carolina, Harvard, Houston, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and Siena. Who would you say has been staying strong with you in building a relationship? Nwoko: Constantly calling me; definitely helped our bond become stronger. phenomhoopreport.com/phenom-1-on-1-with-2023-michael-nwoko-tbs/Kansas has offered a scholarship to Ugonna Kingsley-Onyenso, a 7-foot, 215-pound senior-to-be center from Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Connecticut, according to Andrew Slater, director of scouting for prospectiveinsight.com. Kingsley-Onyenso is ranked No 36 in the recruiting Class of 2023 by ESPN.com and No. 87 by Rivals.com. He’s also heard from Kansas State, Ohio State, Syracuse, Mississippi, Clemson, Georgia, Georgetown, Providence and others. www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/university-of-kansas/article261153192.html#storylink=cpy

"GAME CHANGER: Ugonna Kingsley Kingsley has decided not to talk to college coaches himself until he’s ready to start planning visits and making a decision. For now, his high school and grassroots coaches have handled the rapidly increasing attention on his behalf. He holds a number of major offers, including a recent one from Kansas. Kentucky has also made preliminary contact but is yet to offer. Kingsley’s camp has started to discuss possible visits at this juncture." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/cassidy-awards-mayhem-in-maryland

I am sure my name gives it away but I am from MA, outside of Boston. Anyone familiar w/the area may recognize a smallish local paper telegram and gazette. They are reporting Gtown, Davidson and Wake Forest were all in Thursday at 6AM for a private workout for TJ Powers of Worcester Academy. He is a 6'8" 210 pound forward. Ranked #51 by ESPN. It stated Gtown has offered. Smart kid offers from Harvard and BC recently as well. I have a buddy closer to the local sports scene, he said it was Ewing in attendance for the workout. Phenom: You held an impressive list before those offers as well, with schools like Xavier, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Penn State, Creighton, Iowa, etc.. all offering. Who would you say has really been continuing to recruit you hard since offering? Power: Iowa, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Indiana, Stanford, Penn State, Xavier, USC, Notre Dame, Boston College, Providence, and Penn have all been on me hard. phenomhoopreport.com/2023-tj-power-talks-latest-high-major-offers-and-decision-timeframe/

A one-time LSU commit back on the market after the Tigers parted ways with former head coach Will Wade, Marvell Allen has become one of the more coveted guards in the 2023 class. The Florida-based star holds a long list of offers and is starting to take visits as he looks toward what he hopes will be his final commitment. There’s still plenty of time left in the Allen saga, as the five-star prospect is yet to take many official visits or trim his list of options. That said, it’s never too early to handicap a race. 1. GEORGETOWN The Hoyas wasted no time jumping on Allen following his decision to part ways with LSU, and the program’s haste seems to be paying off already. Allen picked up an offer from the Hoyas in late March and arrived on campus for an official visit just a month later. Things on that trip are said to have gone well enough that Patrick Ewing and his staff are now in the thick of the race to land Allen’s commitment. The Florida-based guard is not near a decision, however, so beating off other suitors in the coming months will be a chore. That said, Georgetown has positioned itself well in the early going. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/ranking-the-contenders-five-star-marvel-allenNate Oats and the Alabama men's basketball staff will host their fair share of official visitors, starting the month off with 2023 four-star power forward Sam Walters. The Villages (Fla.) Villages Charter School product announced on Monday his intentions to be at the Capstone June 1-3 The 6-foot-8, 180-pounder is ranked the No. 11 power forward and the No. 78 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings. Other schools that have offered Walters include Florida, Georgetown, LSU, and Ole Miss, among others. 247sports.com/college/alabama/Article/Alabama-Basketball-recruiting-Top100-hoops-prospect-sets-Alabama-official-visit--187627194/

If we for some crazy reason had no transfers out next year, we'd have a total of one open scholarship. My first priority would be, if we could get him, Marvel Allen, since he's a 5 star. But, if not, I'd prioritize a 6'7-6'10 guy to play 4 or 3.

PRODUCTIVE: Josh Hubbard What he did: Hubbard doesn’t pack the elite measurables as other guards and his lack of length will always hold him back a bit from a recruiting standpoint, but it’s becoming impossible to argue with the 5-foot-11 prospect’s production. The 3,000-point high school scorer was at it again this weekend, going off for 24 points in a high-level game against Team Trae Young and helping lead his Team Thad squad to an undefeated weekend. Hubbard showed off his stroke from deep for the event’s entirety and also showed off a combination of explosiveness and body control that allowed him to get to the rim and finish through much larger defenders. Recruitment: The Mississippi-based guard holds offers from Seton Hall, Georgetown, Kansas State, Houston, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and others. He plans to make a verbal commitment in September. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/cassidy-awards-duel-in-dfw

Since we first ranked Coleman a couple of cycles ago, he has done nothing but continue to improve in each viewing. The 6-foot-5 junior at Fort Washington (Md.) Nation Christian has always been an aggressive, slashing wing. This weekend he showcased good pace when attacking from the wing and a high defensive I.Q. He knocked down six threes on the weekend as well. Closing in on 10 offers, the 2023 No. 80 ranked Coleman has taken an early, unofficial visit to Xavier. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/shaw-s-takeaways-national-high-school-hoops-festivalFort Washington (Md.) National Christian’s Isaiah Coleman is emerging in the class of 2023 after making the move into the 247Sports national rankings coming in at No. 72 in the latest update. As far as his recruitment goes, the 6-foot-5 four-star shooting guard has taken one official visit to Xavier and unofficial visits to George Washington and Maryland. He also plans on visiting Miami, Uconn, LSU, Ohio State in the future with no dates confirmed as of yet. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Basketball-recruiting-Xavier-Maryland-Isaiah-Coleman-247Sports-178199173/Isaiah Coleman isn’t a new name in the class of 2023, but he’s one that might not have gotten enough credit for how well he played this spring or how much growth he’s shown in his game. Not only was he one of the top scorers in the EYBL but he also showed emerging guard skills in the process. The three-point range wasn’t necessarily a new staple, but the ability to operate with the ball in his hands and play-make was. Coleman’s recruitment went relatively unchanged over the last month but if he keeps it up, it will only be a matter of time before the masses take notice. 247sports.com/LongFormArticle/college-basketball-recruiting-eight-players-in-2023-that-should-be-higher-187988341/#187988341_1
