That what it seems like to me. That lineup above would be for '23-'24, so after his 2 is done. Would love to have him for more than that... but could also see him being in a good position to go after this year. Who knows? Fingers crossed. Yean I agree nyc. If Aminu improves on his TOs the only thing that will keep him from declaring will be wanting to be a lottery pick instead of just being drafted late in the 1st. I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing for GTown if Riley, Beard and Ryan are ready to step up by years end.

I haven't seen him included in any mock drafts both that are updating constantly or preseason. Not even in the fringe of mock drafts that go well past the second round. So either all the analysts are way off or they believe he needs more than one year. I don't see him leaving this year unless he wants to go play pro the G League or overseas route.

He won't be included in any mock draft in November. He plays on the team that's pick last in one of the preseason worst conferences. He would have to be putting up 25+ to get himself on the radar this early. But if he cleans up the TOs he is a pro now.

Baldwin had no issues being on a horrible team and mock drafts have him as lottery pick.

He was on the 2022 mocks in 2020. I won't argue because GTown fans hate the thought of losing a player early. For some strange reason there are '21 recruits that are ranked lower than Aminu that are on mocks. I guess it has nothing to do with playing for a blueblood. Hell KyKy became a lottery pick by decommitting from Creighton and committing to UK. I guess he personally got better in the 1 month he had to decide....

Excellent example - Mohammed is far ahead of TyTy in my viewing of both players. Agreed entirely. This entire year for mocks is very weird with the COVID transfers and 5th year of eligibility. There are so many options that none of the pro writers can get a good feel for what the NBA teams are thinking. It honestly may be better for CBB in the long run because it will drive the overall age up since NBA scouts will have more time to watch players. In a previous year, Aminu would be on boards as a later pick due to his rating (5* is mostly+ NBA ready). This year there are a lot more options so they're harder to sift through. TyTy for example jumps up because he's at a program in the spotlight and every scout has seen him. In the end though, talent shines through, Aminu's will with his work ethic, and hopefully we can get those guys who are just about there going forward. After all that...can we move this convo to Aminu's thread Admin DanMcQ Let's keep this open for the next top player in 2023: SRD

That being said, both Kwame Evans Jr. and Mackenzie Mgbako who check in at No. 2 and No. 3 in the updated ranking are hot on his heels. A product of Baltimore who has transferred to loaded Montverde (Fla.) Academy for his junior season, Evans could be the most naturally gifted player in the class. Pushing 6-foot-10 at this point, he’s a skilled combo forward who can shoot with range, cover ridiculous ground on defense and he’s just scratching the surface. He’s also inconsistent. If he’s able to figure it all out, it may be tough to deny his claim to the No. 1 spot. Auburn, George Washington (where his father is a hall of famer) Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Memphis, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas and USC are just a few of the 20 plus programs who have already offered scholarships. 247sports.com/Article/Dajuan-Wagner-Jr-holds-on-to-the-No-1-spot-in-the-updated-2023-rankings-173005099/Montverde Academy forward Kwame Evans will be releasing his top schools in the near future. The 6-foot-9 forward is currently ranked the No. 2 overall prospect in the class of 2023 and has visited Kentucky with plans on visiting USC, Texas, and Duke as of right now. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Basketball-recruiting-247sports-Kwame-Evans-Holiday-Hoopsgiving-Kentucky-Duke-USC-Duke-Texas--176683658/

Lamothe, Gardner, and... Baye Fall in '23. Harris/Beard/Anglin/Lamothe Riley/Billingsley/Bass/Gardner Mutombo/Fall That's a 10 right there. Aminu 2 & done? That is was the sound of it when Aminu committed. He mentioned "years" and Ewing talked about having him at Georgetown for "years".
