I don't think Mutombo or Cisse are pure centers, like these guys are. I don't really understand why Ewing brought them in together, but I don't think he should abandon the plan he had for the three centers. I have not seen enough of Mutombo to comment on him, but I have watched a decent amount of Cisse and Wilson (at least his high school games). Both guys can definitely guard the four, but I don't think it would make any sense to pair them up on the court with Wahab or someone else. Neither has an outside shot (unless Wilson somehow gained one last year?) and it would totally slow down what we want to do on offense. I think Coach Ewing demonstrated he has no interest in playing two bigs at once considering we were down to like six scholarship players at one point and we never once played two of Wahab, Yurtseven and Igohoefe. Got it. I hope one develops an outside shot for spacing purposes. I haven't seen enough of Wilson or Cisse to know if they can space the floor well, but I don't think having two low post guys would help the offense. Though, I think Ighoefe is a prime redshirt candidate for an upcoming season.

We have way too many members on this board that say the same things, and to be honest, some of them are not HoyaTalk level posters. I say we cut some of them loose and recruit some 5 star members. After some deep considerations and conversations with my family I have decided to take my talents to the next level. I have truly enjoyed my time on Hoyatalk and I will truly miss the bonds and friendships that I have developed over the 2000+ posts that I have typed. Some were good and some were bad but they were all from the heart. Well without further delay I will be entering the 2020 NSBA (National Sports Board Association) Draft.....Respect My Decision😂😂😂

I think Zeke is making a big mistake, hopefully he did not sign with an agent and can still return. He is not ready to go pro. I mean he is productive for HoyaTalk level, but he will never get drafted. He still commits too many type-overs, his posting speed is too slow for pro boards, and his percentage when he posts outside-the-box will never get him into the League.
I mean I guess he could post in the P League, but that does not pay enough to be worth giving up his eligibility. He needs to return to HoyaTalk for at least another year and work hard on his weaknesses.

While he will always be a Hoya....Zeke really would have benefitted by sticking around for at least another 1000 posts. Good guy, but has some growing up to do. Good luck to him at the next level.

Zeke you know if you decide to join another board you will have to sit out a year. And you know you can profit from your likeness so let us see what you look like. Get an agent to represent you.

I don’t want to be a downer, Jack, but Georgetown’s chances are very slim. Sure, the Hoyas did make the final six for top-10 junior Moussa Cisse, news that we broke last Friday, but I don’t see it adding up in favor of the Big East bunch. Now, Cisse is very intrigued by the chance of playing for Patrick Ewing and they have been involved with him for much longer compared to some of his other finalists but it remains more of an uphill battle. Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU and Memphis round out his list. He has only visited Florida State in the official variety, while he has been on the campuses at Memphis and UK in the unofficial form this winter. A member of the 2021 class, the plan is for Cisse to complete his coursework this month and then make the decision on whether to reclassify a year up. If he does make such a move and official visits are then allowed, look for Cisse to visit the schools that he has not visited yet. LSU sits as the program to beat. If he remains in the 2021 class, then it is more of a guessing game for who he chooses with a commitment timeline that could take longer to play out. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/wednesday-s-leftovers-5-star-package-deal-moussa-cisse-harrison-ingram

I've decided to reclassify to the 2020 class," Cisse told ESPN. "I will get my high school diploma as soon as I finish the last two core classes I need to qualify, which should happen next week."
Cisse told ESPN he will commit to one of six finalists: Kentucky, LSU, Florida State, Georgia, Memphis and Georgetown. He says he intends on announcing where he'll be attending college sometime next week after he officially receives his high school diploma. Due to the pandemic, he was only able to take one official visit to Florida State, but he did make unofficial visits to Memphis and Kentucky.
"I am trying to find the best way to the NBA," Cisse told ESPN. "I want to see how my college career will go, but if I do well, I will definitely try to make a move to the NBA. Unfortunately I wasn't able to compete at the Basketball Without Borders Global Camp scrimmages because of Tennessee rules. I was invited to the Nike Hoop Summit, which was canceled, and I missed playing in the EYBL again this summer, so I will try to catch up with what I lost in college and make sure NBA teams learn more about me. I have a lot of work to do."

Am I insane to say I think this is the type of player we may not want at this point in our program's evolution? A one year kid who is extremely talented on D it sounds like but wouldn't be able to stretch the D on the other end and has some overlapping talent with our current bigs. Maybe just to win one of these yes, but possibly to the detriment of our team in 21/22.

Cisse is a really good player and I would think normally fits a mold of someone who would be very interested in playing for Coach Ewing and letting Coach Ewing prepare him for a professional career. The fact that he is pretty much saying he is a one and done and will be going to the NBA next year makes me think that Kentucky is a probable landing spot for him. We can all say a lot of things about Coach Cal, but he gets his players into the NBA, and he does it fast and if that is this players # 1 priority than I think it is hard to think he will select Georgetown. I hope I am wrong and he becomes the player that opens the floodgates for other highly ranked recruits to start committing to the Hoyas, but it seems like a stretch.

I think a big commit like this would force other 4 and 5 star candidates to give us a fresh look, and give a real boost to our recruiting overall. In my eyes, it'd be worth those annoyances. That said, I've learned not to get my hopes up.

Agree with others that his focus on the NBA makes us less likely of a destination given some of the other schools on his list, but also think that a year with Ewing and what essentially will be guaranteed PT might accelerate his development. 21-22 recruits want to see that this program can attract talent and get people to the league. Even if Cisse is a one and done and they won't have the opportunity to play with him, we still need to prove that we have the ability to accomplish this. Hoping that the assistants can really pick up the slack here in Patrick's absence due to health reasons.

You would think he would go G League Select.
Even if any team lands him, G league select is still an option
Hope we get him but not gonna worry about it till I see him on the floor if we have a season.

3 rapid-fire crystal ball predictions for L$U this morning.
I don't think we'll get this kid, but it'd be fun to watch him for a year.
