I'll be there too. Can't say I feel good about this game at all. Hoping they prove me wrong.

Have to bounce back. Play with an edge because we all know that those Providence players will be playing hard. Can't let them bully you.

Also, it's time to learn how to play against a zone. Providence probably will play zone at one point despite Ed Cooley hating to do so.

After tonight's game the only thing I think we have going for us is being home. I actually think Provy is a good team, while X is a bottom feeder....hopefully Mac is ready and isn't too rusty....

If we play as soft as we did tonight, Provy will punch us in the mouth and watch us wilt. This game is a huge litmus test for this team and this season.

If we fight them, the season should be on the uprise and if not, we're going 70mph down into the grand canyon. Hopefully, Mac is back, there's nobody I'd expect to play harder than him, James and Josh after the last two. But especially mac, he needs to let people know that he's not just a high school player. Coming out and playing well against a very tough team would do that. Have to bounce back. I'm really nervous about this one.

I'll be there with the wife. Let's hope we bounce back. Not having Mac has hurt us the last few games, to say the least. This team should be 14-2 or 13-3 at worst, but we're sitting at 11-5.
Note - that's not a knock on the team (indeed, it's praise for how much this team has improved/outperformed most expectations, especially starting 3 freshmen and losing MD), but we need to get healthy and capitalize on a wide open BEast.

Students are back. Hope they show up. At the beginning of the semester they have no excuse for not doing so.

Hear me out on this one - We are going to grab a big lead, say 12 points, in the first half. Close to half time, PC will close the gap. We will go back and forth with them all second half. With a minute left, we will have a 4 point lead and the ball. PC will tie in the last 10 seconds and win in OT. I dont know why, I just have this feeling....Call me crazy.

Need Mac and his toughness this game. Providence will play hard after being called out by Ed Cooley. They're prepared to battle and the Hoyas need to be. Have to be tough, they will attack inside and the perimeter guys can't let them get by. Diallo will come out and play hard, Watson somehow always has a good game against us. This is the game to change our season. Bounce back her, play equally as tough against Marquette and that's the recovery. Isaiah Jackson is solid if we allow him to penetrate. We have to play tough or this will be a beatdown.

Mac coming back is great...but play in the flow and not try to do too much... everyone share the wealth and make the extra pass (but also protect the ball...be quick and decisive, but not rushed)...zone them, but keep rotating guys on Diallo, play with all out effort from all, and don't be afraid to win...you guys can do it!

Reeves is a huge loss for the Friars. He could really score the ball and they now struggle for extended periods without him trying to generate good offense. They are a good, young, athletic team that plays really hard (like all Cooley teams), but if you can force them to take tough contested shots they should struggle to score with the Hoyas. Hopefully Mac is back to add some scoring depth the Georgetown team.

they now struggle for extended periods without him trying to generate good offense... Nothing like playing our defense to cure that struggle. I have them going for 84 pts on Saturday. The question is can we score more than that. It is what it is with Reeves, just like we’ve had to play without our own double digit ppg frosh, plus another starter in Trey.

We’ve had six players join the weekly BE honor roll. It would be great if Pickett could join the club with a huge game vs Providence.

I think the Hoyas are likely to get another chance to play against some zone defense Saturday. Cooley prefers playing man but he has always mixed up his defenses during the game to try to confuse the opponent. Hopefully the Hoyas are prepared or it and respond better than they did in the Xavier game. I would expect Georgetown will continue to see some zone defense from teams until they show they can attack it better. Having Trey come back will actually help, he is good interior passer which should help them create good shots against a zone.
