Nothing like playing our defense to cure that struggle. I have them going for 84 pts on Saturday. The question is can we score more than that. It is what it is with Reeves, just like we’ve had to play without our own double digit ppg frosh, plus another starter in Trey. I think the Hoyas are likely to get another chance to play against some zone defense Saturday. Cooley prefers playing man but he has always mixed up his defenses during the game to try to confuse the opponent. Hopefully the Hoyas are prepared or it and respond better than they did in the Xavier game. I would expect Georgetown will continue to see some zone defense from teams until they show they can attack it better. Having Trey come back will actually help, he is good interior passer which should help them create good shots against a zone. You would think that any team that plays zone on even an occasional basis would be zoning us from this point forward. The sad thing is how awful our own rare zone defensive possessions are. I have never seen a zone D that allows so many layups. Its one thing to get beat by open 3s when you play zone. But to consistently get killed around the rim while playing a zone- that is a special kind of poor execution.

Xavier was without Goodin and we failed to capitalize, so I'm not sure how much the absence of Reeves is really going to impact this game unless we figure out way to exploit another team's personnel weakness, which we haven't done thus far.
Tomorrow's going to be another of those barometer games in terms of toughness. If we fail to match their intensity and physicality, it's going to be another disappointing afternoon. Hoping a good crowd can at least give the team a boost of energy that they didn't have but sorely needed on Wed.

This has been going on since the JT3 days. I thought that Pat would change that and exploit other teams' weaknesses, but he hasn't. Start tomorrow pls.

Hear me out on this one - We are going to grab a big lead, say 12 points, in the first half. Close to half time, PC will close the gap. We will go back and forth with them all second half. With a minute left, we will have a 4 point lead and the ball. PC will tie in the last 10 seconds and win in OT. I dont know why, I just have this feeling....Call me crazy. I sure hope I’m wrong but it just feels like we’ll come up short yet again.

Almost afraid to watch this game after the past few games. The Hoyas have been a major tease, flashing signs that they can compete with anyone and then reverting to the form they showed earlier in the pre-conference schedule. Hopefully McClung can play and is able to be effective coming back from an injury. Beginning to worry about the seriousness of the Mourning concussion. For him to still be out means he is still in the protocol. I hope for the best for this kid, who has endured alot in his career on the hilltop and remains an outstanding representative of the University and the program.

The one thing we have going for us is that PC is not a team that plays much zone. But after watching our struggles against Xavier, I wouldn’t be surprised if Cooley gives us a few different looks.

I have to agree this has been a very long time to be in concussion protocol. Maybe I’m just basing this off the NFL where guys miss a quarter at most with concussions ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) No wonder they have such a mess on their hands.

My guess is Provy has been working on its defense all week. Expecting a lot of switches. Hoping the guards (especially) respond well.

Mac back & in the starting lineup. If Pat is going to start Mac he should put kaleb in Jamorko's spot.

Mac looks good. Making some shots will help his confidence. I hope Pat watches his minutes.

All the opposing scouting reports say to go after Govan both in halfcourt nd transition. It's a huge problem.

I have no idea why Mosely tries to drive the lane, it’s not his game...

Comeon Jagan, get up on him! He got up on him batted the ball away then got a bad bounce which led to the layup. Those are bad breaks that haven't seen to go our way much lately.
