People shamefully bashed him on this site during his time in a Hoya uniform but he was a vital piece to this program. He brought us a BET championship! Wish him nothing but health and good fortune in his future pro career, wherever that may be. Having said that, he deserves a shot in the NBA! Someone draft this man!

So the day has come for us to say goodbye and I must say that this is a sad sad day for me. I am going to miss you Jarmorko. You are truly one of my favorite Hoyas of all time my guy. You are up there with the great Patrick Ewing as far as one of my all time favorite Hoyas. Good luck Jamorko and keep working on your game my man!

Well the good thing about playing in the NBA is that the game is much more wide open than in college since it's man to man defense mostly. If Jarmorko could work on his jumper and practice his threes, he could land in the NBA. He plays good defense, though he could get a little better with his d. He rebounds very very well. He's gonna have to work on moving without the ball and getting in position to knock down his shots. The NBA is mostly about shooting from distance and moving around on the perimeter. They've taken away all the interior stuff with the focus on shooting threes. I think Jarmorko could definitely fit if he can work on knocking down his shots consistently.

I can see this class act of a guy playing at the next level! Cool as a cucumber, endured all the slings and arrows of this board, the upheavals that rocked the team, and just kept his composure, played the game rather than talk it.
Love this young man
When I started the thread, I started it with this question, this thought: “Jomorko Picket: A diamond in the rough.

Much respect for Jamorko and how he handled his Hoya career.
Best of luck and you will be missed!

Four year Hoya. Recently that has been an oxymoron. I commend you Mr Pickett for all of your hard work and dedication to the Hoya program. Wish you well in your quest to play in the NBA. The potential has always been there. Keep working on that handle and there will be nothing you can not do on the basketball court.

Loved Pickett because he just powered through so much on and off the court. Also he could make it to the promised land of the nba especially with that nasty defense of his. The commentators loved to rave about offensive players like Mamu and all of his incredible potential but guess who shut him up several times this year to the point of me forgetting he is even on the court? Jamorko Picketttttttt

I think he is going to surprise. His 3 pt shooting and dribbling still need more consistency and improvement. His stats don't jump out at you because he was unselfish.
But if you look at his rebounding and his ability to shut down the best player on every team, that defense is going to be valued and translate well at the next level.

Still thinking about the way he completely locked down Mamu in the BET (and regular season for that matter..)

Still thinking about the way he completely locked down Mamu in the BET (and regular season for that matter..) I feel like he is almost perfect for a 3nD wing in the L. If he can get the 3 part consistent he has a really good chance to stick. Or if he can put on a little weight and be able to guard the Collins,Capela, and Hauch types.... but the consistent 3 is a must.

I am so happy for Jamorko. I am going to miss seeing his family cheering for him at the games. He has grown so much over the years and is an impressive young man. Congratulations on your graduation. I think the future will be bright both on an off of the court.

Really happy that he is graduating as a Big East champ. I'll never forget his play during the Seton Hall game, truly a standout performance.
Through no fault of his, he was with the Hoyas during a rough four years. I would have never blamed him if he left, but I'm so grateful he stuck with it.
Just play the game with your whole heart Jamorko. If you've learned nothing else as a Hoya, just ignore the naysayers.

A true Hoya, worked hard and gave his all every night. He excelled at the dirty work of defense and rebounding. He will do great things both on AND off the court.
