He played great last night against Texas. Just needs to work on passing and maybe dribble less in traffic. The inbounds pass to start the second half tonight was puzzling. Also had a lazy inbounds last night.

It seems the coach is well aware....step up or sit! We need him to progress and become consistent.

Mentally weak player. Can’t rely on him. Has always shown flashes, but 2+ years in, I think it’s safe to say that his tantalizing talent usually doesn’t show up. LeBlanc should be starting. Jamorko has to become more disciplined. You could be right about LeBlanc, I love his game, spirit and energy! We have the makings of a good team. Blair, our sniper, has to dial in. It was good to see him make that 3 in the second half....Sorry to take this off track!!

A Jekyll and Hyde couple of days. Friday Pickett played really well with minimal dribbling, passing quickly, catch and shoot, and nice ability to get to the basket, as well as showing a lot of growth on defense. Friday night took all that great effort and showing solid growth and went back to Pickett who doesn't know what his strengths and weaknesses are. Friday he dribbled way to much, tried to ISO, held the ball too long before trying to pass so whomever was open wasn't, and his shot selection was really poor. Hopefully he will use these two nights back to back to understand what he needs to stick with. Until he puts in serious work on getting much lower to dribble and working on his handles (one heck of a lot) he needs to take no more than one or two dribbles in half court. Friday his defense was decent, which was good to see as the rest of his game was trying to do things he doesn't do well at all.
Pickett has a tough build to work with as he has great length which makes for great miss matches at the 3, but he doesn't have the low body strength to bang and move people around inside (partly as he has long legs and it is tough to get low leverage with high hips and not a lot of leg power). He really should take advantage of his length and work against 2s and 3s and shorter 4s.

They’ve got a week to go over both game films with him (and the rest of the guys). Pickett has made great progress from last year and just needs to keep putting in the work. Next hurdle is not letting the opponent and game situation speed him up.

If you are going to use his length to be the inbounds guy, then he needs to be coached on this. Keep composure, focus, time awareness, timeouts, etc. The lazy inbounds to start the second half was inexcusable.

That is a little strong, hb. He must have really pi$$ed you off. Hopefully he regains your trust sooner rather than later.

Keep working--Grind and Shine! The best is yet to come from this young man! Jamorko has always been a very up and down player in his 2 years but I think he's very close to turning the corner this year. His defense and rebounding appear to be as good as last year, however I think his handle has been much tighter so far this year. Getting stripped driving to the hoop was the cause of many of his TOs last year. If he can stay dialed in mentally and, similar to McClung, PLAY WITHIN HIMSELF and not force things I think he can take a big step this year. In my opinion both him and McClung, besides playing different positions and skillsets, are mentally very similar players. A few good plays or made shots early in a game tend to dictate how the game will go for them. If they start poorly they force the issue later in the game and rarely end up finishing strong (OK maybe Mac has had some good games after poor starts but usually not Pickett).

I hope the coach keeps pushing him! And staying with him and coaching him up! Again, Thursday he looked great...bottle that! When Jamorko finds that place of equalibrium--watch out!

Quietly having a very strong season. Has truly developed into an all around player. Still needs to improve the handle and look for his shot more but it gets better every game.

JP has shown what hard work and better fundamentals can do on the defensive end and on the boards. Now get more comfortable with getting open shots and he will be a huge factor.

Some of his plays last night were spectacular. When I watched him this summer at the Kenner League games, it looked like he was growing taller before my eyes. Last night, one of the commentators said that he was taller than his listed 6-8. ?and that he was more like 6-10. I think it is coming together for him. He made good decisions, he was a stopper, and made plays. Who could ask for more? We do, but I think he is developing well. Go Jamorko!

Was at the PG presser. Think it was just cramps fwiw. I hope he is Ok, we need Jamorko to play significant minutes. It didn't look like anything really happened on the play when he came up lame, so it could be cramping. He has been playing better as the season has gone on and his aggressiveness is great to see. He still seems to make one or two poor/rushed decisions a game that turn into turnovers and hopefully he can eliminate those, but he makes so many positive plays now that he is a really important part of the teams success.

Looked scary, and hard not to think about Durant given that is fresh in my mind.
Echo the comments hoping it’s just cramps.
I really liked what he was bringing last night. Active on defense. aggressive on offense. I think he is another guy really benefiting from the increase in minutes. He is best when he is a bit patient on offense, let’s it come. Then starts to turn it on. Thought that is what happened last night. The announcers also correctly (in my opinion) pointed out he has the most upside for the next level.
Hopefully these guys start to get rewarded a bit. More press, rankings. That will support , winning - gets people to pay attention. And they are winning by sharing the ball.
