Love to see it. 4 Hoyas in the NBA with Aminu likely on the way and potentially Jordan right after. Things trending up for Ewing and the Hoyas.

Man you guys just don't know how I feel. I feel so excited right now. I almost want to cry. I am a looooong passionate Hoya fan and sometimes during that long time, I have been suffering (like I am sure most of you guys have) because we have been mediocre for so long. Man I swear, I am beginning to get that feeling that we are soon to be turning this ship in the right direction!
I am so excited for Patrick and the program. I am so psyched for Jamorko and Yurt. This is great news and I can't wait for the Hoyas's season to start so I can go and catch the guys downtown at the arena!! Woo-hoo!

Great news, hopefully the inertia just keeps carrying him forward. Now that he’s full time with it, I’m expecting to see some strides and jumps in his game. He may yet continue to surprise us…

So I predicted my guy was going to make the NBA, didn't I? I predicted Yurt was going to make the NBA, didn't I? I also predicted that Mac was going to make the NBA, didn't I? Well...I guess we are still working on that one. But anyways, now there are two PE guys in the league now. So I don't want you guys on this board talking about until we get some guys into the NBA blah blah blah. Also PE got us into the NCAA's so I don't want to hear from you guys with this until we start winning blah blah blah crap anymore. Y'all let my guy Patrick Ewing do his thing and get the program back on stride again. You are the best!!

Plus I think there is some value for playing for Patrick Ewing as far as the NBA is concerned if you get my drift. Plus Jamorko can play. He may not have been the type of player in college most people dreamed he should have been but the college game is a whole lot more restrictive than the pro game. Jamorko has got to keep improving but he will do fairly well in the NBA. Lets you and I and the rest of HoyaTalk celebrate our guy Jarmorko!!!!

But you notice Rock, there is no one else besides blueandgray that said you were right. Not to start any trouble. I don't need to be right. I just need for HoyaTalk to support the guys and the coaches through thick and thin as we all go along on this difficult journey together. You, professor and a few others have been nothing but solid on here supporting the guys and the coaches and you guys, along with myself and a few others have had to deal with detractors on here constantly putting down Jamorko and some of the other guys as well as the coaches. Notice, all of those usual suspects are not celebrating Yurt and Jamorko successful transition into the NBA? Why is that? Don't need to answer as that was a rhetorical question.

I had my questions about Jamorko but have been rooting for him like crazy the last several years. The more I learned about him, the more I wanted it for him (and the program). This is such a feel good story…

Was just talking in general but I feel you. And not too much just patiently waiting for these boys to put on a show 😈. Should be a good season! As long as we can fill Morko and Bile’s minutes we’ll be better off than last year. That’s the biggest hole imo.

But let me ask you this Rock..what concerns do you have with this team right now? One of my main concerns is rebounding. You mention the guys that left and how we need to replace their production. We were one of the better rebounding teams in the Big East if I am not mistaken and it is because of guys like Morko, Bile and even Q. The reason why those guys were such great rebounders was because they were long with long arms and were very active around the boards. Do you think with this new team that we could replace the talent on the boards? Or, do you think we are going to slip a little in that department?

Do you think with this new team that we could replace the talent on the boards? Or, do you think we are going to slip a little in that department? That’s an interesting question I’m gonna give you the quick take since this’ll be my last post for the day. I think Pickett was our best rebounder and Bile was good at taking on bodies and boxing out, I think Q was good, but he also chased rebounds and couldn’t rebound out of his area at all, at all. He was also slow to react half of the time (his mind would, but his body wouldn’t immediately follow). His footwork wasn’t as natural as it needed to be in that department, but I agree his long arms were his best asset and he was good at not bringing the ball down low for the most part. So, I think Tim will give us at least what Q gave us in terms of rebounding, as far as his ability to if spending the same amount of time in the paint. I think Tim won’t be anchored in the post on either side like before. I think Ryan is also a good, fundamental boxing out type big and he too will give us at least what Q gave us. Both of those guys are either longer or just as long as Q too. I think Tre King has a motor like Bile in the post so he’ll attract bodies and give us more angles for rebounding than a more still post player so he’ll fill Bil’s production. The question is if we will have anyone that can go get a grown man rebound in crucial moments and be the best rebounder on the court during most games (Morko). That definitely remains to be seen and I think the collective improvement will have to offset his loss more than anything. Luckily though, I think we have plus rebounders at every other position. Dante is as good a rebounding PG as we’ve had in a long time. Carey is solid enough. Aminu was arguably the best rebounding wing in the whole country. Riley is a plus rebounder. Typed should also have a solid floor as a rebounder. Collin and Kobe and Malcom will ne primarily focused on rebounding I think. I think our wings will be crashing the boards harder this year and the offense will be more fluid with more guys that have a nose for the ball. Time will tell though! As far as my biggest concern? Just making sure Dante doesn’t stagnate and figuring out who ultimately ends up leading this offense (capable of being the best player on the court in crunch time). The biggest x factor? If Ewing decides to bring back the press that was slowly starting to work again right before the mass exodus. I think we have the bodies, and more importantly players deserving of opportunity, for us to sub in and out of on defense so we’ll see.
