Out of the athletes visiting this weekend this was the one I wanted the least but I guess at this point we need bodies.

Some momentum is nice, maybe the commitments pick up now.

Hoping for the best for this kid but Hoyas have a very unbalanced roster right now for next year. They really need some size and outside shooting to add to the mix. Govan, Dickerson, Walker and Mourning (?) on the interior, with Kaleb at the wing, Mosley, Mulmore, Tre(?) and Dickerson at PG and Blair at SG. Of that group who can shoot from outside? Blair? Tre? Dickerson and Govan can but they will be needed closer to the basket. This make the Agau transfer hurt even more.

I like this pick up. A NYC guard who has a strong handle who can penetrate and dish or finish. And his perimeter shooting is better than average. We've been severely lacking in these areas, particularly ball handling.
Based on watching his video from last year I'd even say that if we had him vs. Maryland we probably pull that one out. Our guys are not confident on the ball under pressure.

If Dickerson is a true PG, then I think this makes a lot of sense, particularly Ewing has read the smoke signals from the Waters camp to imply that we shouldn't hold our breath. We have a bunch of combo type guards (Mulmore, Campbell, Mosely, Blair), but none who are truly creators. If Dickerson is a Mulmore carbon copy, then yeah, it doesn't make a ton of sense.

The Hoyas continue stockpiling Tre(y)s. Next up: racking up treys in the box scores.

Mixtape looks good from this past season at South Dakota. He is quick and seems to be able to finish at the rim between bodies. And his outside shot at least has good mechanics. Hopefully Dickerson, Mosley, Mulmore, and Campbell can learn from and push each other.

This signing reeks of desperation. I am hoping for the best but there is nothing I've seen to think this signing moves the needle of next season at all. The 3rd best player on a Summit league team is not getting me excited. He seems to be in the same mold of the other guards already on the roster. That being said being said it's a one year signing so no harm no foul if they truly believe no one else is coming.

I haven't seen him play, but his stat line from a lower level is wholly unimpressive. Seems like just a body. Hopefully he can surprise.

No one says welcome aboard quite like Hoyasaxa.... Where do we get to discuss potential impact? Would love to know where that place is. We all want every move to work out.

Particularly so considering how relatively innocuous the comments have been. I suppose the point is that there should be a moratorium when someone signs on, and that we should withhold comments based on a season's worth of "just" stats.

I have no idea what to expect from Dickerson. At first glance, it seems like a curious fit given our other areas of need. But if Tre is going to be out for an extended period, we could use depth. It's also possible that he does some of the things the new staff wants to emphasize. It can be possible to be an effective point guard without incredible stats if you play with focus and make the team around you better. I'll reserve judgment. And frankly, even if he isn't a contributor, it's only a year. Pretty low risk.
