Would have 1 yr, played a year at Juco. As we nitpick every player think it's time to mention we don't even have enough players to go 5 on 5 in practice right now...

Nice player but I'm not sure how he'll help the team long term.. I like what I see in the highlights. Really good quickness and an aggressiveness attacking the rim that the Hoyas do not have right now. If you can get Waters, then maybe there is not a place for him, but if Waters doesn't become a Hoya this kid looks like he would get minutes right away.

We really need to nail someone down who can shoot threes. At this point, I am not sure who that will be. Marcus Derrickson is a good shooter, but that's basically it...

cyclonefanatic.com/2017/04/recruiting-utsa-grad-transfer-jeff-beverly-wants-to-be-a-cyclone/UTSA’s leading scorer from last season has scheduled an official visit to Iowa State for May 3-4. Jeff Beverly, a 6-foot-6, 250-pound forward told CycloneFanatic.com on Wednesday night that as of now, Iowa State is the only visit that he has set. Beverly, who averaged 15.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game as a junior last season, said that he has spoken to schools like New Mexico, Georgetown and St. Johns. “There are a lot of good schools but I am trying to be a Cyclone I want to play there,” Beverly said. “I like they way they play. They let their players play. They use their talents, like Deonte Burton. He did his thing. They use mismatches. I think I can do that.”

Former Wright State star Mark Alstork announced his intention to test the NBA draft waters or seek a fifth-year transfer three weeks ago, and the major college programs have been lining up in the hopes he remains in school. Pittsburgh already scheduled a visit with the 6-foot-5 guard, while Georgetown and South Carolina are working on setting one up. Baylor, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UNLV, Wake Forest and several other schools have all contacted Alstork, too. www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/college/louisville/2017/04/26/wright-state-transfer-mark-alstork-talks-louisville-basketball-interest/100906194/___________ “I like what he’s saying. I wouldn’t be continuing to talk to him if I didn’t think there was potential,” Alstork said. “I feel good about the situation there and we’re just going to continue to go on from there. Frank Martin said he’s personally going to recruit me himself.” Alstork said the only visit he has set right now is to Pitt on May 5. He plans to set dates with USC and Georgetown. He’s also looking at Louisville, NC State, Iowa State and a few others. In that way, he's a lot like Pryor, who had his efficiency go way up by using less possessions. We need shooters, and among the graduate transfers out there, Alstork probably has the most potential in that area.

Nice player but I'm not sure how he'll help the team long term.. He'd be a grad transfer; He'd be really good against the zone and in transition.

The current posted roster has 10 players. www.guhoyas.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/gu-m-baskbl-mtt.htmlOf course, that includes 2 walk ons (Muresan and Hines).

I'm assuming Alstork is better and preferred by most to Dickerson but anyone have a different opinion? I haven't seen either play

Dickerson is a 6'1 point guard...Alstork a 6'5 2GD/SF...to me, Alstork fills a major need in replacing the scoring of Peak or Pryor, whereas Dickerson is a solid point if we don't land Waters...

That's pretty much it. If we get Waters, I'd rather have Alstork. Otherwise... I'd like to see what a better PG could do for us. Seems like if we added a high volume shooter/scorer w/o a PG, we'd have about the same roster makeup as last year - just a bit less talent at the 2/3.

He didn't play much at Princeton this year but had a petty good efficiency rating.
